Switched to 4hi today to exercise 4wd. Constantly flashing and could not get solid light. If I leave in 4hi and turn ignition off and back on it will stay lit.

Just a little pissed that I’m gonna have to schedule and sit at dealership
Between noisy ac compressor and now 4wd issues just disappointed in my tundra.
Should have kept my 97 Silverado

Were you already driving when you switched to 4-Hi?

Tried it in drive, not moving and it didn’t work(which it normally does)
Drove around for 15 miles and tried switching to 4hi a dozen times, same thing

Still a little confused, did you drive it for 15 miles, and then try it a dozen times while you were still stopped?

Sell it and buy a 97 Silverado.

    Problem solved.

Sorry for your issues but I just had to post this. Hang in there. I had some aggravating issues too. Good luck.

Let off the throttle for a few when engaging at speed.. and push back on it. Let the ecu and transfer case catch up. I do it all the time in winter back and fourth around 20 - 60 mph. It takes some fineness, learn the truck

He still hasn't explained his operation of engaging the 4WD. I do the same as you, sometimes it will be stubborn to go from 4Hi to 2WD if you switch over while still on the gas. I consider it just another Tundra quirk you have to learn to manage.
