I bought these headlights https://www.ebay.com/itm/303772630753 and I know they are not fully compatible with my tundra because I do not have the led strip harness setup. However they do function as regular headlights. I just want to know if anyone can please tell me how to tap into the wires to get the led strip to work with my vehicle. There is 1 wire that I assume goes to the led strip light but it has no place to plug into. Also I did order the drl led harness from headlight revolution just in case I decide to buy different headlights later on down the road but they don't seem to work for this specific pair of lights. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!!!

    Alot of them
This would be why we don't buy cheap headlights for a 40K plus truck. I bet they won't last a month once they hit rain.

So on the helpful side, you can get a different harness from @iHacker for the earlier trucks with the DRL strip, or you can tap into the fuse box with an add-a-fuse for them to turn on with the ignition. The different harness will work depending on if the plug they provided matches the old style DRL.

Thank you BlueRibbon4x4. I do have a drl harness that I plugged into the LEDs and it goes to the fuse box but the lights didn't turn on seems like something still needs to connect to the signal light wire in the headlight assembly.

Where did you plug into the fuse box? Are you sure you’re getting power?

I plugged it in where the headlight revolution video said to put it. Not sure of the location without looking at it but I had to put another 10 fuse from box in with it and plug it into that space. Do you have any other suggestions of places I can try?

I would first check to see if you’re getting power to the spot you’re plugged into, then make sure the harness is plugged in correctly to the new headlamp. If you’re not getting power, I can show you a spot that works.

Fuses are both working and drls are both snug still no LEDs lighting up think they might need to hook into the signal light or something idk.

They should be lighting up, everything else is hooked up? The headlights, and turn signals work and everything?

So I looked at the headlamps you purchased, are you sure you have the correct harness? It looks like there’s more than one terminal, not just the one wire, nothing connects to ground? Maybe someone with the old style headlamps will chime in. That’s about all I got.

To be honest I'm not sure they even make a harness for those lights I just bought a harness in case they didn't work at all. I know either way I would need it if I got a diff set of lights with leds for my truck. So I think in order to make the led light work I may have to splice the wires and connect them to the signal light wire and the battery. Right now they are only connected to the fuse box.

Try this, run the positive and the negative from the LED strip directly to the battery and see if that lights them up. If so, lights work fine and it's a problem with the wiring. If they don't light up, the light itself is faulty.

You were right they light up when I hooked them to the battery so do I splice 2 wires from the drls to the battery and leave the added fuse in?

Perfect so now it depends on what you want to do.
    1) wire it to the battery and run a switch off the hot side into the cab so you can control them
    2) run to battery and run a switch wire from the positive lead to the ignition fuse so when the vehicle turns on your lights will come on
    3) use that harness that you bought which, if its the one I'm thinking of, will turn the DRL on when the vehicle turns on and off when the headlights come on.

I don't remember exactly how it gets wired up, I had one sent to me with my miromoto headlights but didn't need to use it. I believe you connect your headlights to one side and the other side has a positive and negative lead and a signal wire. First 2 are self explanatory and the signal goes under the DRL fuse? Thats a guess I could be wrong.

Post some pics of where the harness connects to the lights and what wires you have on the other end.

This is a pic of the harness but it doesn't fit into the regular headlight assembly I have. I was trying to find a harness online to show you because I can't get to all of mine without taking the grill off. I'm still looking if I find 1 I'll post it.

Too much to list. I've got a build thread around here somewhere but it hasn't been updated lately. I did aftermarket headlights and taillights, 20" Baja S8 light in grille, full chrome delete inside and out, TRD pro color matched grille, second backup camera with 12" rear view monitor, bullydog Gt tuner, 2 wireless chargers, added 6 USB ports, under hood and bed lights, probably more stuff just can't think of it.

Wow that's cool!! You have done a lot. I got some catching up to do lol. For the color matched grille is your truck attitude black? If so where did you find the grille surround to match the truck?

I cheated, I bought an aftermarket grille in gloss black and an OEM hood bulge in attitude black. Put together you'd never notice the difference unless you look really close.

That looks really good I may have to do that as well I couldn't find an attitude black grille anywhere. Saw the hood bulge on Ebay that matched but no grille. There is way to much chrome going on in the front of my truck lol.

Agreed, most expensive was the OEM bumper caps, and I have to remove the whole lower bumper to replace them so they have been sitting in my garage until I have the time for them.
