Can anyone that has either built a sub box or has a sub box that works in a 2014+ crewmax please give me the dimensions that you used? Just need bottom width, top width, and height. I'm trying to determine if a certain box will fit, but can't find the dimensions of the back seat area.

If I remember correctly...4" top width, 7" bottom width, 12" height

I just tried to measure it...really tough to do with it in the truck, but from what I could measure, those numbers are really close.

Thanks, I'm trying to figure out if this box will work. http://www.jlaudio.com/cs110tg-tw3-car-audio-powerwedge-subwoofer-systems-93302
It's 4.1 inches at the top, 12.4 inches high and 6.25 inches at the bottom. I've heard the 12 inch box just barely doesn't fit, but this one is listed as being smaller on their website, while some people are claiming they are the same size. I may take the seat out this weekend so I can actually measure the space back there. Like you said, it's really hard to get accurate measurements with the seats in.

I was mistaken a little...I ordered mine online from here http://www.audioenhancers.com/vehiclespecific/tuncm110.php Looks like the dimensions are 3.5" top, 6.5" bottom, and 12" tall

Thanks I'm wanting to go with just one sub right now so I don't use up the entire behind the seat area because I don't want to have to move my jack and I also throw some stuff back behind there too. Do you think there is room for an extra half inch up at the top, or is it already snug up there?

there's room for another 1/2 on top and bottom for the box itself...what I can't answer though is there enough room for the sub to clear the seatback with a box another 1/2" bigger. My gut and from what I can feel with my hand says yes, but I don't want to be responsible for your $400 gamble :anonymous: .

Glad you mentioned that. I didn't even think about the actual sub clearing the seat back. One person mentioned that the 12 in sub almost fit, but it was hitting at the top, but the 12 in is taller and wider. I believe my local shop has some in stock that I will probably go see if I can test fit it before buying it. I was going to try and save a little bit buying it online, but it's not worth the gamble if I'm not sure if it will fit.

I want a smaller box that only takes up half of the back. I keep stuff back behind my seats and don't want to use up the entire thing. I've only seen a couple that are like that such as Tech12volts which I have heard good and bad things about him. The box alone from him is $130 and takes 6-8 weeks to get. This box has the sub I want which is a $300 sub plus the box would be $430. This box with sub is $360 so I would save some money and this box is designed specifically for this sub.

Was looking at the 10in tw3. From what I've read, the 10 in would probably be better sounding for the type music I listen to.

Glad you guys are happy with the subs, I've read some good reviews on them, but it's always good to hear from others.

OP, did that TW3 end up fitting? I am looking at the same 10" JL Audio TW3 sub but the Lg model (which is a little thinner on the bottom) for my 2017 Crewmax. Not sure yet if it will fit. If nit Crutchfield said they will give me a full refund including shipping.

I was told by someone on Tundra Crew on Facebook that they fit the 10 inch on in their truck. I ended up going with a box may by Tech12volts. He is making me a box with the 10tw3 sub in it for less than what that one cost.

I have (2) 10 in tw3s in a box under the seat. Takes up every but of room under the seat but sounds tremendous. I had to figure out another storage solution for all my stuff that used to live there

Check with tech12volts. He got me a 10tw3 sub with a box for about $50 cheaper then that one is.

Okay I will do that. There are a lot of options on crutchfield and Best Buy that may have the right dimensions but I guess it’s better safe than sorry!

    Thanks bsktball

I'm not sure what his prices are like now, but when I got mine last year, he gave me the box and sub for about $20 more than I could get the sub for on any other site. I got my amp and speakers through him as well so he may have given me a better deal, but it is worth checking. He specializes in Tundras.
