I covered the gap on mine with a 1/4 thick aluminum stick. Looks so much better IMO.

Thanks for the link to the lugs @Rely01. Am installing blacked out rims (Granite Alloy GA640) and Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my truck today (it's actually in the shop as I type this) and realized yesterday that I forgot to order the black lugs to complete the look. Am going to have to ride around with the original chrome lugs for a few days until these come in.

Double-pin geared-type stands are just a no for me. Pin-through stands accepting tonnage way over the stress ever loaded on it is the way an old guy does it. Even if you're on a budget, the extra $200 it costs for a pair isn't just peace of mind. The risk of failure might be low for a budget stand, but the effect of failure is not.

Harbor freight also has this 3-ton, pin-through design jack. My concern is the base looks too small to ensure stabilty. Anyone use these?

I get it - - it's overkill. Is there some place in between a budget option and the overkill option that's perfectly safe? Yep. I'm I going to test it? Nope. And I'd recommend anyone take the same tack.

Since the Undercover Flex rails make it impossible to use the tie downs that came with the rail system, I ordered these today.
I think they will work being smaller and fit under the Flex rail.

Amazon.com: CCR Sport Deck Rail Tie Down Hook for Toyota Tundra/Tacoma (4-Pack): Automotive

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Even with the cover, there have been many times I needed tie downs to strap down the wife's purchases...

I'll let y'all know how they turned out.
I'm sure there are many members with covers that would like to have more tie downs than the 4 corners..
That stated, I only have 3 stock tie downs with the swingcase...

Looks good, put one of those 60” tailgate light bars between. I have the tailgate light bar and it was a simple install.

Finished up the right fender liner & right front parking sensor after the front grille/bumper chrome delete last weekend.

Good news… Front parking sensor replacement didn’t cause any errors after being disconnected for several days. I bought OEM and damn that little part is pricey!

PSA, if you get new bumpers you may have to get new “liner extension seals” for the fender liner. In the pic you can see the old vs new where the the screws go in and the black rubbing when I initially tried to manhandle the old clip on :itllbuffout:

Those are basically the jack stands I have and will be using this weekend to install my lift. I've used them once before. They seemed stable enough, didn't seem to have any issues.

I'm concerned about death as well. But (I hate using that word when talking safety), if only the front of the truck is on the two stands, I'm not sure how much weight that is and I doubt I'll be crawling under the truck...just taking the tires off and installing the lift. Anyone feel this is a bad idea? Maybe I spring and just go have the shop put them on.

If I need extra height, is it a bad idea to set the jack stands on a couple of 2 x 4's?

Exactly what I do anytime a wheel comes off I lay it under the frame just in case. I had a scissor jack fail on me when changing a flat several years ago slamming the rotor in the pavement. I learned my lesson that day.

Yes IMO. Buy bigger jack stands. The 4 Ton at Harbor freight with the locking pin are quite a bit taller than the lesser weight capacity ones. They are also wider to better support the weight.

I was looking at this website. You must choose between short or long depth. Can anyone explain what this means? And I'm trying to understand the difference between all these USB charger standards - anyone know a good site that explains this (quick charge, 2.1, 2.4, etc, etc). I'd like to put one of these in but I'm not sure which to get. Thanks.

I'm planning on a tonneau cover, nice find on these. I'll definitely be adding them when I find my cover.
