Is there any way to adjust the Drivers side Wiper ? It seems to have slipped down when off and lays down on the plastic and not on the windshield anymore - And then when they are on it no longer makes a full swipe

Take it off and reinstall and see that would fix it. I don't think they are adjustable.

Unless the whole assembly was removed it shouldn't have slipped. Could it have been damaged somehow?

It would be a stretch to think the arm jumped a tooth (or 6), but I guess it’s possible if the splines stripped somehow. Interesting :monocle:

OP I’d definitely take that arm off and take a look at the splines.

So finally got around to pulling the wiper arm and yes it slipped 1 spline somehow - No damage to the splines - they are adjustable - not really sure how it slipped as the nut was tight but installed some new wiper blades and adjusted the drivers side arm and I am good to go !

The new ones off the part shelf have a smooth conical taper in the aluminum arm. It makes the spline imprint when it's tightened against the harder steel. In case you lay awake at night wondering if you need to order a new one.

I think they aren't tightened super tight from the factory so that interface is the failure point if the blades freeze down to the windshield. Mine did the same thing when I forgot to shut the wipers off before shutting down the truck in the dead of winter. Thought I stripped it until the parts guy showed me the new one really has nothing to strip. Original arms still working well, although I snugged them up a touch more.

How or what did you use to remove those wiper arms? It's pretty difficult. I have a mouse problem and would like to remove that cowling to mouse proof that air intake opening. Thank you.

He uses a puller, but i was taught a trick. First remove the nut, raise the wiper arm, then with the palm of your hand or a rubber mallet bump the wiper arm right next to the mount. This will break it free.

That was pretty good. Thanks very much for sharing. I'll pop the hood tomorrow and try again.
Do you think the only areas the mice are gaining access to under the cowling, is on each ends by the the hood arms?
After not being able to remove the wipers today, I stuffed those corners by the hood arms with steel wool in attempt to block that space.

    Again, thanks very much.

Sorry, I have not rodent proofed. I only removed the wiper arm when the arm jumped a spline when ice got in the way.

Well I'm sure glad you don't have that problem. Thanks.
