Just took the camper out for the first time with the Tundra, it was very obvious right away that we need to upgrade our mirrors. Is it worth trying to find a used set of OEM Toyota mirrors, or are there better quality aftermarket mirrors out there? They've gotta be heated, and less than $300. Thanks.

I’m less than impressed with the OEM towing mirrors. They don’t provide enough viewing range. Both the main mirror and the “fish eye” are too small. Some of the aftermarket ones seem to vibrate, so do your research before buying.

I had these for my Chevy and just wasn't a fan. I'd always forget to put them on before leaving the driveway, and we'd subsequently have to turn back around and grab them...the price is right though

Get some Ram tow mirrors. Those mirrors are so far out they are in different zip codes.

GM style mirrors are out there. Boost auto I think has them, I got mine off eBay - search GM style Tundra mirrors. Best visibility by far over both OEM options.

That is what I got and they’re perfect, although via Amazon. For some reason my order doesn’t show up on my history or I’d link to the specific item. Mine came with turn signal lights, heated mirrors, plug and play, maybe 30 minutes at most taking my time to install both of them.

It always irritated me that the Tundra came with car-sized mirrors; it’s impossible to have them set correctly for driving and still use them to park in tight spots without leaning up against the window to look down. The new ones are better at everything except being out of the way when walking around the truck in those tight spots.

I seen a set of dodge mirrors flipped up on a Honda Civic not long ago. It was amazing to see.

The Boost Auto chevy-style ones can check all your requests except maybe price (depends on the options you pick). I had the OEM ones on my 2008 and had no complaints - it came with them so I didn’t know any better. But now that I’ve got the chevy-style, there’s no comparison.

What makes the GM style that much better, they appear to be pretty similar. I came from a Duramax, but guess I don’t know what’s different about the Toyota style.

Bigger is the main thing. Bigger top flat mirror for looking back, much bigger convex that lets you see your tire and the 2 lanes beside you.

If you came from a duramax you will hate the Toyota tow mirrors. I preferred the small standard mirrors over their tow ones. They're too small and don't do anything well.

Yeah - exactly what he said. Bigger convex and bigger overall. I can see my rear tires in the convex AND the lanes beside me. Between that and the anytime front and rear cameras, I can park this thing anywhere it will physically fit

I have the OEM mirrors and I'm very happy:
    - Very stable
    - Good viewing angle IMO, both the top mirror and the smaller curved mirror (I have the latter set to see my back wheel when backing up)
    - Heated
    - Has a blinker

Those look nice. The OEM mirrors are pretty spendy.

I'm a new Tundra owner, but did a lot of research, and if I can't live with the OEM mirrors, I'm going to try Boost Auto mirrors $$$ or Trail Ridge mirrors $$.

We have the Trail Ridge and are very pleased. Also, if you break the convex there are replacement pieces out there that fit perfectly.

Any idea how Trail Ridge match up against the Boost mirrors? I've been eyeballing Trail Ridge as well.

Another vote for OEM. They aren’t huge and IMO look more appropriately sized for a half-ton. I also don’t see any issues with the field of view so far, just as long as you line them up appropriately to view the SIDE of your vehicle and not behind you (that’s what the rear view mirror is for).

I use to have the Dodge ram style mirrors on my Tacoma. They worked very well. I sure wish someone would make them for the Tundra.

They will fit. 2021 is the same as 2020 and they fit mine. Amazon is wrong most of the time when it comes to fit and year.
