    Not exactly a build thread, but wanted somewhere to keep up with what I've done so far. I bought the truck from my dad last summer - it's a 4.0 auto with 2wd. He bought it brand new and it was his work truck for a few years. It just rolled over 65k miles a week or so ago - it has not had a whole lot of use in the past 10 years. It was bone stock, with the exception of a Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver and a Rugged Liner bed liner.

    Since I have taken ownership:
    • Removed hubcaps and mounted stock tires from my Jeep
    • Installed a Cam-Locker low pro toolbox I found on FB for $200
    • Converted 4 way to 7 way and added trailer brake controller
    • Bilstein 5100s front (3rd notch) and rear
    • 1.5 Icon AAL
    Truck has spent it's whole life in SC, so no rust thankfully!

    Very nice, take good care of it!

    I am looking at one like it for sale locally, it's a RWD long bed with the 4.0 V6 auto.
    It's an original owner '05 with 286k, it looks decent but the guy is asking $4500... that's too much.

    Outside of regular maintenance items, I have replaced the steering shaft seal (no more tick tick tick) and center bearing. Also replaced the center u joint since I had to pull that... LBJs were replaced under recall then I replaced the UBJs myself.

    Just in case anybody wants to know. 2006, 2wd 4.0 auto. Part # I used was Spicer 211750-1X... Much cheaper than the Toyota one. Spicer even came with Toyota stamped on it.
