Can you tell me how the drop compared to these two options? I’ve been told the side steps have a greater drop than running board. Supposedly easier step with the Podiums. I’m looking at these same two options. Also, on the Rhino what finish did you end up getting? Thanks for the help.

I personally don’t care for running boards but it makes it easier for people to get into the truck and saves on the door dings.

My mother is all of 4'11" on a good day LOL and 92, and I had been using a little folding single step that I kept behind the front seat for her to use. While my truck came with the 'predator' steps, one off road excursion took care of those  (they have no place on a 4x4 IMO) but she liked them. What to do? I compromised with Go Rhino RB20's in the standard finish. They look great, and she can get in fine. They are wide enough for her to be able to step onto them with confidence, grabbing the handle as she gets in (and I stand behind her just in case). My truck is the standard TRD OR, not lifted, but with her stature and age, it was impossible for her to get in without some kind of step or platform. If they were like 2 inches lower they would be perfect for her, but wouldn't last long when I go on vacation (if I ever get one...). And I can always break out the single step, which I keep handy.

Does anyone know where I would be able to buy just the passenger side OE predator step bar? Wife mangled one over the winter and I am looking to replace it.

On OE you can go through a dealer and you should be able to buy exactly what you need however I’m afraid it will probably be as much as a complete set I would check with Sparks and see what they can get you.

I've got the stock plastic ones on mine that work great, but I'm looking to upgrade to metal. I recommend something that doesn't have the small individual steps personally. They look good, but just aren't as user friendly/functional as a flat step IMO.

I'm either upgrading to the gorhino rb20 or the tyger blades.

Many for sale in used pairs on marketplace by people changing to sliders. You can also likely get just in one from salvage truck, might need to look around for awhile. Another idea, check with some body shops in your area. Im sure someone will be or has been t boned, that leaves the body shop either knowing how to buy just one or else having an extra.

9A1E3D9F-4CB3-47B5-B5F3-139A21183B62.jpg I would definitely recommend the nfab podiums! Put them on mine last month. My wife “5’2”” is totally happy now.

If you are not driving off road and if your wife is short as the OP states, I recommend going with a dropped step and not a slider or slider-like step that is only slightly lower than the sill of the truck. A drop step helps more to get in if you are short.

These are the dropped steps that come with the TSS in the gulf states. Not good for off road, but helpful to get into truck.

On a side note, I want to replace them with sliders eventually.

I understand the substantial price on the Amp steps. I got them and love the clean tucked in look when not in use!!
