New to the site! Hello everyone!
    I have a 2012 Tundra Platinum crewmax 4X4
I've bought new I have 100000 miles (167000 km) it runs like the first day I got it!!
So is there any credit in what motor biscuit is saying?
Should I be concerned of the failures they talk about??
    Pulled this off the web
-Based on these criteria, the worst year for Toyota Tundra is 2012. The most common issue reported is a failure with the air induction pump. The average repair cost is high — around $3,150. Most of the pump problems kick in around 74,000 miles.

Premature transmission failure was another big problem for Tundra in 2012. Those transmission issues were reported early on, around the 9,700-mile mark, and cost over $5000 to fix. Over 340 Technical Service Bulletins were issued overall.

    Look forward to any input.

Motorbiscuit seems to be a lot of clickbait.

Everything they wrote is correct except the model year.

It should say 2019... not 2012. The 2012's had auxiliary transmission coolers.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Motorbiscuit seems to be extremely biased against Tundras, so I would take anything they say with several grains of salt.

Thanks guys! I feel somewhat better.
Taking it in to change the transmission fluid this week I'll see what they say about the wear and tear.

"Based on these criteria, the worst year for Toyota Tundra is 2012"

Statistically speaking, one year has to be the best and one the worst.

But it's still a Tundra, so better than most trucks on the road.

Aside from my fuel pump warranty replacement/ECU update and reflash my 2012 4x4 5.7 ffv has been golden.

Brakes, tires, shocks and scheduled maintenance only. 116500mi currently.
