Gas mileage

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Is there ANYTHING that matters more than your own words (in bold above)?

 

True...... mileage is the same for each driver no matter how slow or fast you go. If the mileage distance from A to B is 75 miles....it's always going to be 75 miles. Ha!

 

Maybe not..if Buc-ee's is on the other side of the interstate, I would probably be taking the next turnaround to make the stop. Could easily turn that 75 mile trip into 77 or 78 miles!

 

Seriously. Dunno why people complain about gas mileage. My $20 fill ups have always cost me $20

 

I was cruising at 50-55MPH two weeks ago and my computer was showing 20-21MPG. Couldn’t believe my eyes and still don’t believe it’s true.

 

Your eyes were correct....not true. Hand calculate...

 

I dunno why folks here don't utilize the SEARCH function here first before starting another mpg thread........

 

That would be from A to C and side track back to B.

 

Think how quickly this would have been off the top of the feeds if the only posts made were the constructive ones.

True, especially if someone would have directed the OP right off the bat to check our SEARCH function about all the mpg threads we have here already instead of feeding the sharks.............

 

I used to feel the same, but when it's a brand new member I try to engage and welcome. Few things are as off-putting as a first impression than "gosh, noob. Use the search function. Bro, do you even internet?"

Somebody that's been here a while and asks, sure. They already have an idea of how we operate, but for a new member that can lead to total disengagement.

OP gave no intro at all about him or herself or did you miss that small detail. A brand new member should intro here first. OP simply went to mpg. I'm an old long time geek in a Tundra..............

 

Pardon my hyperbole. If we are going to be totally literal; he said he has a Tundra and is happy with it. Good enough for intro for me before asking if the goobers he knows that dog on it's mileage fuel economy are really just being goobers.

 

Pardon my hyperbole. I refer back to post #1 and #2. OP mentioned a "truck". "Is the Tundra that bad?" No doubt has a Tundra and is happy with it. What year Tundra? What engine? Mods? Mileage? I must have missed that part. I digress back to a proper intro......just sayin

 

Maybe there was a software update or my trucks still new but my computer calculator has never been off by more than .2 mpg. I can get 22 mpg.... coming down an 8000 foot mountain and driving on a wide open, flat highway.

 

I’m Vista to downtown SD M-F...don’t mind the drive in a nice comfy truck
