Looking for an engine skid plate in aluminum. About to order from RCI and wait the 4-8 weeks, but figured I'd ask if anyone has saw one.

I have never seen anyone actually stock them.
All sites that sell them say ship directly from the manufacturer.
If you order from Stage3motorsports they offer free shipping so it ends up being cheaper than RCI.

If you don't mind steal I'll sell you mine. Wife bought it as a gift, but we moved and I didn't think to look at it. Found out later it won't fit on my truck because it has a 6 inch lift. It's just sitting in my garage around a bunch of stuff I still need to put away. I had actually forgot about it till I saw the box.

Jump on it @Dupey . I'm holding out for an Alum one to match the trans skid I scored on here and help offset some winch weight. I do appreciate the offer @Forcefed

No problem. I read your post and remember I have that thing sitting in the corner. I pulled it out of the box one time and looked at it. It's nice, just doesn't work for me.

FWIW, I ordered an aluminum skid from RCI on Monday and figured I'd be waiting 6-8 weeks. Today I got a shipping notice that it will be here Sunday. WAHOO!

I ordered a steel powder coat from RCI and got it in 3 weeks. Put it on myself and it looks and functions great.

Thanks for your order! The 4-8 week lead time is a worst case scenario and usually only applies to large orders or low volume products. Most skid plates are shipping out in <3 weeks

Let us know if we can help with anything else!

I love my steel RCI skid plate. It took a hard hit in a construction zone north of Denver with only a scratch an lightly dented oil filter access panel. Well worth the money. Think RCI got it shipped to me within two weeks of my order.

I like my aluminum RCI skidplate I ordered last year. I do have one complaint. The edges of the plate were dangerously sharp. I had to use leather gloves to handle it and used a flapper wheel on my 4" grinder to smooth them down like an expensive, finished product should have been.
