Hopefully this has not already been posted elsewhere, but I wanted to check in and see if there are any fans of "non-traditional" beers. My wife and I have been shopping at ALDIs because we have 3 kids (one just started driving, insurance through the roof now) and a tundra...All of my spare money goes to keeping the kids active in sports and truck mods. I have recently found myself really enjoying the ALDIs brand IPA (from the Wild Range Brewing Company). For $6.99 a six pack, I cannot find a fault with this beer. Reminds me a lot of Sierra Nevada. My other favorite cheap beer is anything I make myself. I order a lot of recipes from https://www.northernbrewer.com/. Looking forward to opinions from all.

I am a bourbon drinker, so I don’t discriminate on different beer. They all taste the same to me so I see no need spending the extra money on more expensive beers when I do drink beer.

My family used to buy the PC Pilsner and Red from Superstore for like $1 a can.

When I was a kid, my dad mostly drank Wildcat, which is a cheaper strong beer. My friend's dad is loaded and he only drinks Rainier.

    Not sure at this point.
That beer is damn good for 6.9% ABV. I've had it a couple times myself.

Honestly, beer is beer to me (that are micro-brews). There's a local brewery near me that usually sells a 4pk for $3.00 because their can had messed up their beer.

A few years ago when completely gutting/remodeling a house I tested as many dirt cheap beers as possible to find the best one for my money where I could knock back a few while getting stuff done. I'm a homebrewer and craft beer fan, but for a working beer you can't beat cheap, light, and smooth.

Hamm's was the clear winner for me. $15 a 30 pack (or cheaper) in PA, which comes out to just $3 a 6 pack. Highly recommend it if you can get it. I moved to VT and can't really find it here, but I have family bring me up multiple 30 packs every time they visit.

In the olden days my compadre fancied himself as a road bicyclist. He would typically meet the fellas and ride a circuit with them ~ maybe 35-40 miles round trip. The ride would finish near his home and he'd invite the riders to stop by for a beer at his place. To discourage some of the guys he'd limit the spending to just fifty cents for each beer ~ good thing, too. You'd go broke providing good craft beer for them and they'd never leave !
Of course, the social hosting laws would have the provider on the hook if one of these guys got hurt on the way back home. Chad always bought what was on sale at the local grocery store. At my house it's typically Coors.

Stag beer is my choice for cheap beer. Sadly I can't get it in California.

Somebody say Yuengling Premium? Hard to beat here in PA, $14 including tax for a 24 pack. Light and lager are about 19. Chetty is a little more but I don't buy it often enough to remember.

    The Dirty T

Way back in my younger teens we killed many, many 12 packs of that. It was the cheapest thing at the corner 7-11. We would pool our change and talk our friends older brother into running up and getting it for us. Haven't seen it available in years though.

I believe PBR owns the rights now and does limited releases. Schafer and Keystones got me through college

Depends on when I drink and the situation. Typically - in a social situation, bourbon/tequila/scotch - 2 maybe 3.

When I’m around the house doing yard work, sitting by pool chatting - Miller High Life - or Coors Golden.

Drank Black Label in the day - Killians Red when we could afford it.
