That's understandable. Right now I'm looking to keep the 4R from getting hit with whatever options there are until you are setup for those and the Tacomas down the road if the need arises. I haven't heard of too many of them being hit yet, but to a thief, a cat is a cat.

Whenever I can get a new helper trained (had to fire the old one) and I can step away from the manual labor part of this, I want to learn to design plates by myself. I don’t want others holding files over my head anymore...

The girl that was the welder? Trust me....as long as it doesn't get hit, I have no issues waiting until you get to that point of designing one.

Big shout out to @Classy63! I received my plates on Thursday. Had them powder coated on Friday. I just finished installing them today. They were a PITA to install due to me. I decided to swap out his bolts and use carriage bolts & lock washers to make it harder to remove. I live in the suburbs outside of Phoenix. My friend is part of the Ring door bell community. He showed me videos of 5 trucks that got hit. Two of them were Tundra's within the last 2 weeks not far from where I live. I finally can sleep at ease. I hope a couple more vehicles fall and kill these scumbags while they attempt to steal anyone cats. :sawzall:

I don't know if this is the right place to throw in or not. I read a lot of posts where guys were having trouble finding cat plates for the 2019 Tundra era so I decided to make my own. I started out with cardboard and a pair of scissors until I got my design then went shopping at my local metal supply store for some ⅛" steel sheet, angle and flat stock. With a torch, welder, drill press and a hydraulic press I got busy and came up with front and rear cat plates using existing points on my 2019 TRD Pro and attach them with allen head bolts and steel locking nuts so that a backup wrench is needed to undo everything. Yes, there are rough edges, so to speak, can be defeated like all the others and I'm sure plenty of design flaws but the purpose is get the bad guys to move on to easier targets. Definitely not suited for mass production so my main point is, "My hat's off to Valjallas and the others who saw a need and came up with the means to pursue a great looking product at a great price." I just didn't look in the right place to take advantage of their expertise.IMG_5649.jpgIMG_5650 2.jpgIMG_5653.jpg

Hey guys, if someone can really help me I'd greatly appreciate it!! So recently had my cats stolen and finally got my truck back but obviously I'm now worried they'll get stolen again so looking to get a skid plate. Reached out to Valhalla’s Shield and was told their skid plate would fit on my truck and as I live somewhat close was willing to make the drive and take my truck in to them as well. But was also told that I would need an adapter and it's something they would not be able to help me with. Coming from a guy who knows nothing about vehicles I'm unsure what this adapter is, so if someone can help me figure out what it is and/or who I would be able to reach out so they can get/make this adapter would be amazing as I know I'll definitely need help from someone. Live in the Austin area btw.

The plate isn’t designed for your lift, it is designed for Readylift and procomp. It is adaptable to fit other lifts, but due to differences between them, and how much is cut away for the half shaft between the transfer case and the forward diff, I cannot make a “standard” adapter like I do for the Readylift and procomp. Essentially all it is, is a 1x1 square tube that has holes drilled in it to match whatever holes you have in the subframe to the plate I produce while clearing the half shaft mentioned above. The only lift I am working on making another “adapter” for is the BDS lifts, that will be the final lift I design for

Can anyone help me see what I’m missing here. Installing @Classy63 shields and I’m putting on the Z bracket for the rear plate. Instructions say to use the short 1 1/8 bolts but they are too short to go through. Am I missing something obvious or do I need to go find some longer bolts?

Looks like you have a sequoia! For whatever reason Toyota made the frame boxed on the sequoia instead of C channel. You will need a 5” long bolt

That sucks. I thought I had scoured all the posts and was fully prepared. Looks like I’m off to hunt down some bolts.

Got some and back at it just to find out the holes on the rear plate aren’t even close to lining up with the Z-bracket FFS. The front plate went on smooth like butter, I’m guessing the rear plate just isn’t compatible with the Sequoia. I didn’t realize the frames were that different between the Tundra and Sequoia.

At dinner with ex brother in law who told me his 75 F150 had cats stolen believe it or not.
He lives in a nice area of San Jose CA. PD said they would come back in a month or two to se if he replaced them unguarded again.
What he did is get some decent gauge chain and tack welded it to various points to the frame and CAT itself. (wrapping it)
No way in Hell are these guys going to get that cut out again.
Cheap and effective without loosing access to that area underneath.

It is compatible, and I am going to be adding another bolt hole for the sequoia, but in the mean time, you will need to drill a hole in the plate that lines up better

I got mine in around middle of July from @Classy63 and have installed them. Great plates and once I secured the right tool - 9/16 ratcheting wrench (RCI engine plate drivers side carriage bolt ), install went well.
