Well, the hyper flash is disappointing!

Just did the TRD Pro headlights with @iHacker harness.
A bunch of reviews and YouTube videos said that these particular JDM Astar bulbs won’t cause hyper flash like other bulbs do.
Well that is not the case for me at least. Put the flashers on first and she was nice and slow as she should be. Popped that right turn signal on and she goes haywire!

That is really only applicable to 2018 plus trucks that came with led headlights from the factory. I’m using led blinkers with no resistor on my 18’ that came with led headlights. If you’re doing the conversion and using the harness, you still have to use resistors. Hazards are not controlled through the ecu. It’s just an on/off switch. Blinkers go through the ecu. The ecu detects a low pull on the circuit and hyper flashes to indicate a bulb is out. That’s why hazards will blink normally but blinkers will hyper flash.

Yeah it’s only 2018 and up. Something about the headlights being LED means the wiring is capable of handling front LED indicators without resistors.

Check the build link in my signature.
Resistors are easy to add. I didn’t have to do it on my fronts, but still had to in my rear turns

I have those installed on my 2021 Limited, no hyper flash experience here. Interesting.

Your truck came with factory led headlights. The circuitry and wiring is different than non factory led headlight equipped trucks.
