I own 2 pairs of the tall loggers. Not cheap but after breakin they are the best boot I’ve owned! Just before one pair wears out I’ll start the beak in the rebuilt pair once that’s done I send off the worn for rebuild..$175. New I think are around $450-500! I usually get 2-3 years out of a rebuild and I’ve had em for 20 yrs!

FYI your not gonna like them out of the box!!!!! Lay damp rags in the bottom of the boot overnight so the leather will soften then wear them for an hour or 2 around the house. Repeat until your foot molds to the soles then your golden!

I always had Redwings when I worked construction. The Redwing store I used had a trade in policy, so after they wore out, would get the next pair cheaper. Just great boots. Was happy enough with them that I never tried anything else.

I wore Thorogoods for several years, great boots and MIUSA too. Now I wear Drew's (Think Whites) and absolutely love them.

I've worn a lot of different brand steel toe boots over the years. Brahma (that's all I could afford when I was an junior tech), Carolinas, Wolverine, Red Wings, Timberland Pro, and now Keens just to name a few. While the Red Wings were good boots, they were heavy. I really liked Timberland Pros and wore those for years until I found Keens. So, it's Keen for me because they're light and very, very comfortable or until I find something better.

I've had a pair of Ariat's I use when I'm on construction sites. I've been wearing them since 2014, probably about one week/month on average. Virtually no signs of wear at this point. I love the treads because they don't pick up mud but still give me unbelievable traction. I'm not really doing any work myself, but definitely logging a lot of miles. Walking all over rebar, steel, concrete, etc. Climbing ladders. Rain and mud.

Paid about $170. I can't find an equivalent pair right now to link. This is pretty close. But mine have the round toe and a plastic exterior toe cap. Composite toe protection. 6", lace up. Something close to this I guess: https://www.ariat.com/RIGTK_8_SQ_TO...GTK__8__SQ__TOE__CT__M__FOO_color=OILED_BROWN

I have a hard time finding them but I really like carhartt. They have lots of space in the front for the toes and usually stay waterproof for a full year.

It really depends what your job requires and height of boot.
For me and my back (those stupid 1” heels can jack you up) I’ve gradually gone to the smallest (flattest heel) and lightest shoe possible.
    Currently using Danners.

Another one for Timberland Pro. Mine are 10 years old, and still comfy. They don't get used a whole heckuva lot, but they are subjected to pretty harsh conditions on railroad construction projects.

Blundstone’s are nice too , no laces and I’ve been in my feet for over 12 hours with them with no soreness at all .

I wear redwing work shoes, since they are light weight and I don’t need the extra ankle support. I work on a ship and I am on steel decks all day. The mesh parts do get ripped up after a few months but still love them.

You people wear shoes to work?! I worry about socks or no socks

but 14 plus years ago I did redwing, only because my company had a 20% discount. Maybe 15… idk, F that place, worst 3 years of my life.
