Would the heat from led bulbs be too much for the stock headlight lens on
    2nd gen tundra??

No. The heat is from the heatsink itself which is outside the headlight assembly. Having owned a 2nd gen, the best led for those is the VLeds Micros. They were designed for that stock housing.

I had them for a couple of years with no issues. I took them out when I sold the truck and put them in the wife's 4Runner.

I actually already ordered a set of sealight leds this morning..not familiar with the brand but the reviews were very positive.
If I have any issues with them I'm Def going to Vleds.

I have had S-V.4 LEDs, H11 and 9005 in my 2007 for about a year - no problems.

It's alot brighter now, but more than that, it does give my truck a newer more modern look for a few bucks.
So short answer, YES, definitely lol.

$180? That's a hard pass. Who uses the cheap Amazon/Ebay ones for a fraction of the price and has good results?
