One could dream it's for a high level off roader to match up to the Raptor R and TRX. Still don't think they'll get into that game, but if they were this would fit nicely.

Yes I do. The first one to roll into the dealership will be mine. Did the same with my wife’s 2020 Green 4Runner pro when it released.

So what did you order? Unknown trim with unknown engine in an unknown color all wrapped in an unknown cab configuration?

To be honest I ordered it based on assumptions of what it will be. I’m very close with the GM of the dealership. Since my Wife owns a Pro 4Runner, I got used to the comfort and options of the Pro, so that’s what I want. Assuming they still make a Pro.

As far as color, I was told that typically the first new model to come in will be the new color released for the year, and most likely will be in the Pro trim level because that’s what Toyota will want to showcase.

With that said, I’m willing to take whatever the new color is, unless it’s just flat out ugly which I doubt. I have a very good relationship with the dealership and have honestly sent them a large number of buyers over the past several years. That is the reason I’m put first on the list for whatever comes in. If it’s not what I expected or like, I don’t have to take it.

At the end of the day, regardless I will be buying a new Tundra. I won’t buy anything but Toyota’s (except hot rods and motorcycles), so whatever comes out, I will have one. I trade in every 2 years pretty much, so it’s time.

I completely understand that, which is why I said I was going Pro, if they still offer it. I ok with not knowing what it is. I will buy one regardless. If I don’t like it after a while I will trade it in for a 2023.

If you watch the new video from Automotive press, he says gold will be the new pro color. He’s just guessing at best.

Pro has zero comfort features... its an sr5 with pleather seats. Get a platinum or 1794 if you want the comfort and features.

Apparently you haven’t spent much time in a Pro with the fox suspension. No other trim level compares. I have a 2019 with a full BDS 7” suspension lift and air bags, and it’s not even close to the comfort of the Pro.

I’m hoping they come out with something that competes with the Raptor or TRX, but I’m not holding my breath. If they offer a Pro, that’s what I’m getting. If not I will take what they have till the pro models come out then I will trade in for one.

True enough, but would Toyota risk their king of the hill status regarding their reliability with such a new platform? I wouldn't think so.

I didn't think he was insinuated that, just that there's so many rumours and opinions of the next generation.

I'm still sticking to my belief that whatever's coming will be in line with Toyota's current vision and company direction. Fuel efficiency, fuel efficiency, and fuel efficiency. QDR? Always, but they've been very vocal about where the brand is going, this will be the same.

I think AHC would be cool in the tundra. I know it won't happen and alot of people would piss and moan about it, but when you think about it it'd have some nice benefits.
No more squat when hauling or towing heavy makes it safer. Being able to lower it down, back up to your trailer, then raise it back up to pick the trailer up makes life easier. Instant lift when needed off road.

The system in the lx570s could be beefed up to meet payload of the new tundra. Hell honesty the way it is now it would do it. The given rating on what it can level is pretty low, but there's people on the 200 forums showing their level with 1000lb of bagged rock in the back, 30' campers, huge boats, and everything else.

Not all advances in engine design and engineering are bad. If anyone could build a bullet proof TTV8 it could be Toyota. Having said this. I did find this https://www.motorbiscuit.com/toyota-stops-all-v8-development/

I am debating on ordering a 21 now or waiting to see how the 22s are set up. If it really is going to be a game changer, I would be excited to see what they offer. Could shoot my foot for not getting a tundra years ago and saving on the 5k or more markups i see on a regular basis now.

I just wish they'd give us a teaser or something. Morons at the gmc dealer offered me 1k less than I paid for my 16' 2 years ago on trade for a new AT4 1500 duramax.
It's really tempting not to let them have it before the market falls back off. Especially with gm financial offering 0% for 72.

Might be a good truck. An agree, sounds very tempting with that finance offer. If you do it post up a review of that truck.

Try carmax and Carvana. They offered $4k more than the dealer.

Yeah but that is still a UR family engine like the 4.6 and 5.7. It's the 2UR-GSE. So It looks like the UR will be the last family of V8 engines, doesn't mean necessarily there won't be more in some cars like the IS that use an engine from the UR family but won't be another generation of V8

I'm not getting my hopes high for the new gen Tundra lol. My next truck will be a Raptor and I'll more than likely pass down the (paid off) 19 Pro to my son.

Maybe in Alaska only as Alaska is always 10 years behind the lower 48.
