K, here's my scenario: I have Hydro2 so if I use that, and then a few weeks later I'm washing the truck and I want to top it off, will 3-in-1 be good, bad or ugly? I'm desperate to try it out but wondering if I should finish up the hydro2 and just put beadmaker on top until they're both done.

These tests are proving this product to be way ahead of the rest in it's category. It may be the best 'over the counter' product I've ever bought.

I think i have 4 or 5 fresh bottles just to be safe
I wonder how this would work on a glass shower door.

Pretty well actually. Not as good as Powerlock, but not far off. If you’ve got a detachable sprayer, Hydro2 is an easy product to use for them also.

It should work just fine. Might wear off faster due to the Hydro2 being between it and the paint, but I doubt it’d be by a ton. Won’t do any harm anyway.

Since Hydro2 doesn’t help with gloss, I almost always top it with something else anyway.

Same here. Definitely the best sealant you can get retail. Best spray option on the market in my opinion.

Wow, only a couple are even close. Great test, with great information. Even included weather data. I haven’t watched a lot of his stuff, but I will now.

Have you watched previous installments? I’m wondering if F11 even made it to the second video.

I hear you. I tried it a couple of years ago, and had the same result. Didn’t make it through one wash. Total scam company that uses Facebook to sell their product. They delete any negative reviews and ban anyone who says anything negative. It also just happens to be way more expensive than any of their competitors.

reaalllllyyyyyy.....i've had a bottle hydro2 lite for a few years and never used it. Maybe this is its time to shine! I think i bought it and then the Merlins Elixir recipe came out and then i just stuck with that.

+1 for Griots Wash and Coat....for an unconventional reason...

I was due to clean the pool filters, i take them out front to hose them off in the gutter. On my way back after bringing the first of 4 filter out, i notice that water is beading up on the concrete! Holy hell, i washed the truck about a week or two ago with it in a foam cannon, and it gave the concrete some hydrophobic properties. Wild

I took this picture after about 20min.....crazy

I think I've read just about every post on this topic over the last few weeks but just curious if anyone has tried topping 3-1 with Collinite 845 or something similar? I've got my mom's car, wife's suv and my Tundra in two coats of 3-1 and it's awesome but I just did my dad's new black F150 last night and I was considering topping with 845 but didn't want to waste my time if it doesn't bond well.

I have done that with Collinite 885 on my boat. It hasn't hit the water yet, so can't tell you if it is longer lasting.

My guess (maybe the more knowledgeable will chime in) is it should be fine. When faced with issues like this, maybe do the roof only. See if it lasts longer than the hood.

Haha. Y'all are doing it wrong.....I just leave a mesh bag full of detailing rags and mitts by the washer and a few days later they are dry and folded on the utility room table ready for me to take back to the garage. Must be some kind of magic??:notsure::notsure:

In all honesty, I think she just got tired of me tying up the washer when she was needing it, so she told me she would take care of all the car wash laundry if I would just leave the bag by the washer. She knows I have a small fortune tied up in detailing rags and equipment and is very cooperative with following all the rules (like no fabric softener, no-heat drying etc.).

She always likes to say "just keep my car looking good and I'll handle the laundry." :D

A text she recently sent me while I was on a work trip........

So, just over the 3 month mark and as I said before this is where the tundra lives....under these oak trees. I just washed it which has been about a month and it didn’t look bad. When I wash the oak sap and road grime off the 3 n 1 is even more hydrophobic.
