Interested to know how long it powers it! You should get it cold with a/c to not waste all the power getting it down to temp before you measure it’s longevity.

Already ahead of you lol that was the first thing I did was plug it into the wall to get it going. I did plug it up initially just treasure max draw in watts under the worst conditions( room temp) From sitting on the porch to 27 degrees took about an hour. That's what I plan to do when camping is ac power it first . Probably plug and load the night before. I'm did some initial tests for watt usage. When the compressor is on and running full on max usage is about 39-40 watts and that was max compressor from room temp. Initial power o n surge was 70w. Im probably going to do a run test tonight to see how long she will go.

So tested the jackery and the fridge, looks like I can get about 27-28 hours of fridge use on a single charge with the 290. That's actually about 9 hours better than what the manual states as the manual says 19 hours for portable fridge use. After 12 hours it was only down to 55% so this will be perfect for my needs as a) I don't stay in one camp twice or more than one day, and b) this has enough juice where I can be lazy about packing up camp and not worrying about it.

    Lots.
Finally received and installed my backordered CVT 79" Hybrid Awning that matches my CVT Mt. Shasta Hybrid RTT. I used the Victory 4x4 awning hangers on my rack and they worked perfectly. Really happy to make this addition to my overlanding project rig.

What ya wanna know? Bumping the rear bumper into the bedside led to the mod. @BashFab did the work, cut the bedsides, it’s sprayed not coated, 110 pounds even with all those holes. Obviously tube and plate. He’s gonna dump the exhaust over the axle for me too. Here’s a pre paint pic. He definitely makes functional art. Taken about a month for front and rear. Luckily my dad has loaned me a 200 land cruiser for the wait so I’m not hard up or anything :)

could you clearcoat it like a sorinex squat rack? I know squat racks don't see much salt and snow but they do get beat up... Their ground raw steel with clearcoat looks great.

Nice bumper! I really like how he made the attachment point of the wrap around bars the forward receiver mounting bolts.
Any idea what the tow capacity is? What size tire can still fit under the bed?

Exactly what I wanted to know, Bashfab! Looks great and look forward to seeing the front done when you get it back. An yeah the 200! What a great vehicle, try to hang onto that one forever when your dad gets done with it.

    Thanks!
I asked him for as much towing capacity as possible and still fit my 285/75r18 spare. Chad thinks it should pull the stock rating. I really don’t tow much so may never test that out, but he definitely did a lot of reinforcement and distribution of stress for that area. Will see a lot of time with a bike rack on, occasionally a small trailer, and every so often a 25’ boat. So nothing to test the limits.

That’s great! So you can do an overnight and then charge it on the truck all day. Is that the plan?

Hi all looking for some local knowledge and recommendations.
I’ve got 4 days in June to get from Florida to Ohio and plan to take my damn sweet time!

I plan to take I75 through Atlanta then veer off at some point for some views.

Looking for some scenic camping and mild overland routes from say north Georgia through NC and/or TN and lower Kentucky.

Plan to visit the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort at some point then hit the highway to Ohio and finish the trip from there.

let me know if you’ve got any great spots you’re willing to pass along.

Little weekend getaway about 45 minutes down the road with @Larmand. The water is usually about 50 or so yards from the campsite, but we’ve gotten a little rain here lately…
