Does anyone know what the offset of the factory 18" spare wheel is for a 2018 TRD OR? Is it +60 like the TRD rims?

Looks like they have all the details on the factory sizes, but I dont see where they discuss the spare specifically. I may just drop it tomorrow and see if its stamped on the rim. Thanks!

Hmmm, that may not help with the spare, but It has to clear, so maybe it does help.

Edit, just read your post. I imagine the spare is a steel wheel but at a minimum, has same or more backspace and same diameter, could be narrower affecting offset.

I’m interested in a definitive answer as well since I have recently added a 35 to my spare.
One would assume it would match the factory wheels offset.

Ya, my tires are a tight fit. I was planning on replacing my 32in spare tire with an appropriate size to match my 34s. My 34s are on a +25 offset. If that spare is a +60 I'll need to choose my spare size very carefully.

are you trying to match the other 4 ? Should fit no issues.
If you bend or remove the guides you can fit a 35" there.
Anytime you change tire size or offset /lift etc, matching spare is best.

So I've got 305/70 17 on a +25 offset. I'm not looking to use a tire/wheel combo as a 5 point rotation or anything. Just as an emergency backup. So I figured I could use the stock 18 spare and match up a tire size that would be equal to the overall diameter (or closer than the 275/65 that's on it now) even if just until I can find a decent deal on an equivalent wheel. That's what started me down this path searching for the spare wheel offset. However with that +60 offset I dont think I will be able to match diameter with a 33.8 tire for an 18in wheel that I can reasonably expect to fit without rubbing. Unless I planned to use it as a rear tire only and shuffle the others accordingly if necessary.

    yes makes sense.
However if you stuck far away from any roads, matching spare is worth it imo. even if its a used rim/tire but at least correct offset/size. my 0.02.

That’s what I did. Picked a used tire, in the same size as my current larger then stock tires for emergency use.

cut off the guides and the 35 fit right up there.

Using the stock spare wheel and a 285/70/18 (an odd size to find easily available) will be almost the exact size you want.

Spot on buddy. Thanks for the help on this! I've been living on that tire size website for months while choosing my tires. Looks like some TRD PRO guys run 285/70 on a +60 offset with no added lift (beyond the 2 extra inches already on the PRO) with no problems. I'm at 2.5 upfront so that's a winner!

you’ll be fine. I’m on a 2” front lift on stock wheels with 285/75/18s and they fit well.

I have 35x12.5x18 Nitto Ridge Grappler on a 18x9 +20 offset rim. Are you saying I can put a 285x75x18in tire on the stock +60 offset spare wheel and I should be fine? I'm worried I'll rub in the front, as it was mentioned earlier.

that’s the size tire I have, on the factory black steel wheel.

it fits, you will have to cut off the two “tabs” that are under the bed. But after that, a slow raise and careful placement will get that big ass tire tucked up under there.

I'm just wondering if it's safe to drive on the spare and will it fit without rubbing with that offset until you get the main tire fixed.

I dont want to have major rubbing issues in the front if all of sudden I have a flat in middle of no where.

I am currently running 285/75/18 on stock wheels (which are the same offset as the spare, +60) and I have zero rubbing issues or suspension conflicts.

I put a 285/75/18 Terra Grappler G2 (used) on the stock spare wheel and tested out the fit and it cleared everything, than stuck it up in the stock location under bed. I think overall diameter is 34.84in. Thought this would be a great spare for my 35x12.5x18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I also have the Coachbuilder +3 shackles. Had my tire shop air hammer out the stock tire guides, than I painted it with black Rustoleum spray paint. Here are some pics.

TRD dual exhaust, Rough Country lift kit and too much money spent.
Ok kill me and talk bad about for opening an old thread. But I'm looking at put a bigger spare under here(285/65/20) and I was wondering if anyone has done this that the TRD dual exhaust. It looks like my hangers will be in the way. I didn't want to cut the tabs if they will be. Hopefully these pictures will help. 20230214_144026.jpg 20230214_144013.jpg
