Front sway bar is touching the shock never noticed and just got the truck in feb so ive had hirrible squeeking past couple weeks mechanic noticed the swaybar touching but it wasnt squeeking when i took in for maintenance its getting worse though turns bumps even un even road while driving etc. Any idea what happened has it been in an accident? And can that be causing the squeeking? Or what can it be? Mechanic said bushing all looked good etc besides the bar. Should i just remove it to see what happens ? Left side pic is where i can show you i can fit a finger and right side pic is touching falken shocks came with the truck btw

Are the wheels evenly centered in the wheel wells, when comparing left and right sides?

If the caster is significantly different it could bring the arm back, which would bring the shock back towards the sway bar. This could be as simple as needing a proper alignment to more involved problems like a bent control arm, etc.

I can’t pinpoint it, but something about this setup doesn’t look proper.

Do 2nd gens have the same issues as 1st gens where the sway bar can shift left and right?

Had squeaking in front on 2 of my tundras, ended up being bushings that isolate the condenser/trans-cooler from the flexing and vibrations of the radiator support.

Got a pic of the sheet? Did they do a toe set or actually change caster?

Who does the alignment can make a huge difference.

Also does the lower shock mount have spacers that could potentially be installed on the wrong side?

I’m still leaning towards the sway bar has shifted to the side.
