    Hi Folks,

I'm brand new to the truck game and just bought a 2008 Tundra SR5 - there is a little bit of rust underneath and I'm wondering what people suggest as far as fixing or maintaining. Truck lived in Maryland from 2008-2018, Richmond, VA from 2019-May 2021, now in Raleigh, NC

    Thanks in advance!

I use fluid film. But I have a lift so spraying it on is easy. I make sure to get the places that people seem to complain about, like the supports for the bed on top of the frame. I do it once a year but I rarely use the truck and almost never in winter.

^^^ What Dr Al said. Get those bed supports really thick with fluid film. I do the same. Works out really well.

I put my truck on ramps, filled a paper bowl with POR15, then used a sponge to coat everything. The six pack of small cans of POR15 is a nice option for this process, as you can do one small batch at a time and complete the job over several work sessions.

I've tried the POR15 and it worked but only sort of. Most of the rust was turned black but then small cracks of rust started to appear and just got bigger. Unlike the FF I had spent lots of time with a pressure washer trying to get as much scale off as possible. The FF just seems to soak into the cracks pretty good.
