Hey everyone this is my first post here, I used to be active on Tacomaworld but have moved up to the tundra now. Anyways my question is what leaf pack is better for everyday driving with the occasional towing and wheeling. I’m looking at getting the Dakar leaf pack or the iron man TOY071BK leaf pack. I had the heavy duty Dakar pack on my Tacoma and thought they were great. Also does anyone have Info on the Dakar pack for constant load weight. Headstrong off-road does not have much info on the Dakar pack for the tundra, but I’m wondering if it’s the same load weight as the heavy duty for the Tacoma. Also if you have lift height on either pack post what you are getting for lift. I’m hoping to stay in the 2-3” lift range. Also does anyone have experience with the 6112 front shocks and coils? How do they ride, what are your thoughts. Do they ride stiff on the top notch? I’m wanting to keep my front end at 3”lift.
    Thanks for the help
    James

So the main leaf packs I know about are Deaver and Alcan if you want them built for your rig. I personally have Alcan spring pack, but if you look at my post about them, I had some problems with it. They did fix it, but others had the same problem, and I know one is currently getting his fixed. What I hear is the Deaver is the way to go and if you talk to them about what you want they will build it perfectly. Only reason I went with Alcan is Deaver was backed up bad because of COVID, and they didn't know if they would have to shut down again because of the govener. At the time Deaver didn't know when they would get it done, so I went with Alcan. What I've seen with the Dakar is good for normal stuff, but I have seen guys have them flatten out and W like the stocks do. If you go with Dakar I would recommend air bags for towning, or call Deaver and tell them exactly what you plan to do so they can build them for your spec.
