My wife went from an 03 Jetta to an 04 RX to an 09 highlander and now an 06 land cruiser. The LC is her favorite by far. Her gas mileage makes me feel better about my tundra

20150222_101620.jpg Modified Saturn Sky with an LS3 swap in progress. The picture is pre-swap. Supercharged 2.4L making 312 WHP and 352 lb-ft with 18" wheels/ tires. I'm running a staggered setup now with 20s in the rear and 19s in the front. I'm still trying to finish up after starting the swap 4 years ago. I traveled a lot for work. So, I didn't have much time to dedicate to it up until last year.

If it's purely to save fuel, you will have to drive that car for years to break even on it's cost. 9 times out of 10 it's cheaper to drive what you have than to try and save money with another vehicle. Now, if the goal is to keep miles off a rig, that makes sense to an extent.

Those Supras are very nice. But Toyota actually disappointed me by partnering with BMW

Yea same here but have big plans for it. If they do make a 3JZ then I’ll be trading in. But worse case scenario if Toyota don’t make it,I’ll be swapping for 2jz/manual and put real power! Right now just want to own one and see how things fall in the next 5 years or so....

My other car is about as close as you can get to the opposite of a Tundra.
The wife is in an S5 sportback.

Just picked up a 4R in addition to the Tundra. I like the stance of yours. What set up are you using? Thanks!

They are fun cars. I was able to snag my up locally before the pandemic for a pretty good deal from an older gent. They've gone up in price pretty significantly the past 6 months. In part due to covid and shortages but people have also realized how good of a deal an NC is, especially compared to the absurd cost of NA/NBs, and the much more expensive ND at this point.

No kidding, i sold mine last February just before the pandemic kicked off. The chassis is overbuilt compared to the NA/NB. It can run a large tire and handle way more power easily. LS swaps are right at home in them.

This was mine, a true red GT that i put on a RHT and a bunch of other mods. It was abysmally slow in the straights but in the twisties i would routinely put much faster cars to shame.

Nice NC as well - love that color.

It's no speed demon but very satisfying to drive and difficult to describe unless you've had a chance to enjoy it. Spot on on the chassis. It's overbuilt and great for aftermarket upgrades. The aftermarket scene has been great for NCs the last few year from Dynotronics to Fab9 and BBR all coming out with reliable increase power solutions. A Turbo kit can be had for 3-4k and bump the power up to about 300 to the wheels. That's my 5 year goal between the Tundra and NC, to go FI at least on 1 of them. More than likely it will be the NC.

Winter DD (about to be replaced by the truck): 2016 Golf R (I do love this car). 300HP, lightweight, AWD and 5 doors. It's basically an M3 with AWD. And it gets 30mph, easy, on the highway. Wait, why am I selling it again?:
    GolfR.jpg

Summer DD. 2003 BMW M3 Convertible. Drop dead simple, very fast, and holds a surprising amount of stuff with an actual back seat and useable trunk
    20190609_110902.jpg

Garage Queen/Occasional Track Car: 2005 BMW M3 ZCP (Competition Package). 27k miles on her. Only 3k of these cars were made and I have the color unique to the ZCP, Interlagos Blue.
