Like the title says. Is anyone running a Spod BantamX with the touch screen. Would really like to hear your thoughts and see where you mounted the screen.

    Thanks

I purchased one over a year ago for my 4runner. I had it mounted on a stand near my shifter and about 6 months ago the screen stopped working. I've been busy with work so when I finally got around to contacting them they sent me and RMA and it ended up being a loose r45 jack. 45 bucks later and it's good as new. I'm currently in the process of moving it over to the Tundra and I was thinking about mounted it to the Rago center console rack I just don't know how I feel about losing access to my glovebox. I don't want it on the dash because I don't want the ethernet cable running down the front.

There is a hole under the rubber thing on the dash top or there could easily be one put there and you could so quickly conceal that cable it would make your head spin.

I don’t have the spod but I am getting the rago dash panel that goes up top in that useless space. Same as you I don’t want to lose glove box access so that bridge panel thing a majig is out.

I have a different switch panel but it will be going off the rago dash panel on a ram mount and cable being routed down behind radio etc.

Would it fit the R45 jack? If so that's where I'll put it. Only downside is it's slightly out of reach for my lazy ass but ill deal.

    Exactly!

Even if not the plastic under the rubber thing is easy to make a hole in if you need to and the rubber thing will cover it too if need be.

True... but have I mentioned I'm lazy? Might just open the hole up a bit more. I was looking at a few plates up there. There was one I saw that had a support plate that mounted under the dash, I might go with that one and install my radar and bullydog on it as well.

I mounted mine on the vent left of the steering wheel using a Hondo Garage Unholey mount and 67 Designs arm/mount (they make one specifically for the SPod touchscreen).

I might go this route too. I like the look of the Rago but I do like the option to have the USB ports on it with the ICS.

The Rago plate looks better in my opinion. But it would be nice if they added a USB port.

Thank you. Looks good, may go this route also.

What is that device mounted on your steering wheel?

Thats a ScanGauge II. I have larger tires going on soon so it lets me correct and see the actual MPH. It also lets you read trans temp and other things. Scan and clear error codes too.

It’s probably been installed for close to a year. No problems so far and I like it a lot.

I’m only using three ports right now but I’ve been adding a little at a time with plans for more. Can’t imagine trying to fit that many switches into the dash or run all that wire through the fire wall. It’s great just having the one wire and being able to add devices as you go.

Part of me wants to chain another display in the bed once I have my cap, but I think it’s overkill. Nice to have options though.

Also, you have the ability to dim, flash, etc your stuff from one screen. No special press/hold button schemes to remember. Plus, you can chain multiple ports together. So if you want one button to turn on multiple things, it’s simple.

Awesome. I like the fact that you can see your AUX battery level (if you have one). When I get it I will just be running ditch lights, fog lights, and a light bar. Future plans would be E-Lockers(maybe) Don't think I will ever use all 8 ports.

What are you running now? And what are your future plans?

What I have now: air compressor, light bar, and rock lights. Future plans, near to far, are camp lighting on the cap; ditch lights; and lockers.

I’ll probably find some other things to fill the remaining ports because I don’t know how to leave well enough alone.

    Flux capacitor!
I had the Bantam with the smart panel. I looked at the touchscreen version first but I decided against it because I didn’t want to be worried about damaging the touch screen. I mounted mine right next to the shifter. It kept the install clean and made it easy to hide all the wires.

I have the bench front seat so no shifter for me. I think the sPod set up/installation in general is very clean looking.

Had mine full on the 4runner. Plan to do the same to the Tundra. Also have the scangauge 2 installed in the same spot on my runner.
