    Hey All,

First off if this post should be posted elsewhere let me know and sorry! New here! I recently have start slowly buying smaller products here and there to have my "new to me" Tundra come together how I would like it. One thing I was curious of is how practical or how do you feel about having a bug/rock deflector on your ride? If so is weathertech a good option to go for? After seeing my Tacoma have small grain damage from highway/freeway drive I thought it would be practical to preserve the paint job on my Tundra. But now I'm second guessing myself...

    Thanks!

I think protective films are a better solution to protect your hood from rock chips and minor scratches.

I put an AVS on mine and it also has the film on the hood. I just liked the looks of the bug deflector I guess...

It definitely looks good. I have not put mine on yet but bought the weathertech one ahead of time in anticipation of putting it on. Then read that the adhesive might damage the paint so that gives me slight concerns. But if its not true, then I will end up putting it on since I bought it. xD

So it’s been almost a year since your post. As a follow-up, how did the WeatherTech work out for you? I’m a new Tundra owner for the past few weeks and am about to buy the WeatherTech deflector. Should I pull the trigger?

Considering getting a bug deflector. Does it actually work? I have never had a vehicle that gets bugs in the windshield like Tundras do..

Same, it’s like a bug magnet.

Sorry for the late response, the bug guard has been great, still shines up like new when I wash my truck. Don’t drive it much anymore since I scored a 2 door Sasquatch Bronco!
