I have a crewmax. I regret not getting a double cab.
I never use the back seats but always finding myself wishing I had more bed space.

How do you like the Tyger steps? I’m waiting for mine to come. Supposed to be today. I returned my GORhino RB20’s did not like how close the lip sat to the body.

I regret not getting the BSM upgrade. I've had it on the last 3 vehicles and it did save my butt a couple times over the years. I'm now more diligent when changing lanes, but still wish I had that as a double check.

This one is easily fixed with an @iHacker harness and a little $ for '19 TRD Pro black-out headlights...

Definitely regret not getting one sooner, but am glad my dad talked me into getting a 1794 over a Limited.

There is actually 2 SR5 packages, most SR5s out there are the SR5 premium, there is a SR5 base that doesn't add the Center console. That's at least as of 2016 and there are some other things you lose, like the 38 Gallon tank.

Yes, most SR5s have the SR5 upgrade package. The premium package is different I believe (leather seats). Mine has the SR5 upgrade package and TRD Off Road package. I had originally wanted a truck with a front bench seat and console shift, but then no 38gal tank.

It's frustrating how much you must strip down the truck in order to get a front bench and column shift.

If we end up needing that extra seat, I may attempt a conversion. I'm sure it's very involved but doable.

    My regrets:

    1. Buying my black 18 Platinum used w/ 20k miles instead of a new MGM 2020 Platinum. Saved $12k, but am keeping the vehicle long term, so over time it isn’t much. Missing the added convenience of keyless entry, push button start, and having my preferred color (never owning a black vehicle again, am too OCD with keeping it clean). Buy once and cry once, I should have learned by now.

    2. Buying new AT tires and staying with the factory 20” wheels. Wanted 18”, but got cheap and got only tires (Cooper AT3 XLT’s, which I love) and wheel spacers. Still hated the factory 20’s and ended up buying new 20” wheels anyhow to stick with the tires. Would prefer the 18’s with extra side wall for smoother ride. Again, buy once and cry once.

    3. Center console wireless charger. I replaced the laughably bad JBL everything in my truck and now have a Pioneer 8600nex head unit with wireless CarPlay. Wireless charging does indeed work very well with it. I just find it a PITA having my wireless charger on the console lid since I get into my center console often. Wish I would have put the wireless charger down in the front flat storage area.

I've seen some VERY inexpensive ways to add wireless charging. You could do that with the front flat storage area, but the ridges in that area would decrease the charging efficiency. Even though they're only about 2 mm high, that extra space hurts the inductive connection used to charge the phone.

Thanks, I need to really look into it. I get into the thread regarding all the options and my head explodes. I've read it at least 5 times and think - well $hit i need to figure this out. Any reason you recommend the 19 pro black-out headlights?

Sure. There are a bunch of good LED options. I chose to stick with OEM as much as possible on my Tundra and just like the looks of the black-out '19s better than most for my 040 White. They are much brighter and better than the original halogens too!

Having just paid $18k for a 13 year old truck, kind of wished I would have doubled down & bought new, but NO note is nice.. and it’s the exact color & package I liked. Once I get all the maintenance up to my standards, I’ll cool my jets, maybe..

You might have overpaid a little, but that mileage is pretty good considering. Don't second guess yourself, make the truck the way you want, and enjoy the hell out of it.

Thanks for reassurance, it was 18 w tt&l, one owner, local 65 year old man w/ no mods & color I wanted. I just couldn’t pass it up to save a $1,500 - $2,000.
I’ve always passed for Tacomas, but envied the big truck. There’s just something about having all the truck you need at your fingertips. I hope to keep it a long long time!

Sounds like you got a good truck. Don’t Judge your purchase by the prices of 2 years ago. You made your purchase by todays value. My 2010 was worth maybe 17 last year. I could get over 20 now. Stuff happens, a new truck is great, id like one too, however having play money every month is reeaal nice

Slightly regret not getting 17" Rock Warrior wheels and going with 295's on that instead of my stock 18x8. Love the look of 17's.

Only a couple regrets.... one is not ordering the Supper charger when it was available through Toyota and not joining Tundras.com sooner !!
I probably would not have had the factory pro suspension installed for the price there's better options after seeing what other members here have done.

Normally I would switch out my truck every 3 years and didn't feel like spending the extra money at
the time. Now that my truck is going on five years old and plan to keep it for awhile yet I really regret not having had it installed.......if I do it now the wife is not going to be pleased to see $10g being spent on the old tundra it would have been a lot easier to have it on the original bill of sale.

What I don't regret is buying a Toyota Tundra !!!
