I have a 2020 CM Limited stock with TRD off-road package with about 12,000 miles and recently started to notice that when I come to a complete stop, it feels like someone is bumping the truck causing it to “rock forward” without actually bumping my truck. I have searched and have not really found anything in particular. Some things say drive shaft or yoke? Possibly check brakes or rotors? Maybe transmission acting up? Has anyone had this occur and what was the solution? Thanks

I've noticed the same thing. Its not all the time and I can't really pinpoint when it happens.
I'm pretty sure what I'm feeling is rear axle wrap, and its just unloading and settling back to normal when coming to a complete stop.
May not be what you're experiencing, but axle wrap is pretty common in leaf spring trucks, and you can certainly feel it at times.

2nd gene are notorious for feeling like some one hits you when you are at a stop. That was just normal. Never heard on a 3rd gen tho.

If your ac is on you could be feeling the motor idling up. I have to get used to it every year when the weather warms up. Engine speeds up and pushes through the brakes if you don’t have enough pressure on the brake pedal.

When I have felt that in the Tundra or 4runner, it means that it is time to lube the driveline zerks. It is the exact issue you describe and shooting some grease in the ujoints and driveshaft zerk fittings has always corrected the issue.

Toyota removed all zerks in the last couple model years, not sure what years exactly, but definitely the 2020s, probably 2019s too.

OP, does it do the same thing when you come to a stop in neutral? i.e: shift into neutral when you're still in the process of slowing down and see what happens. That could rule out trans behavior, because I've noticed this thing isn't very good at downshifting into 1st or 2nd (not that it downshifts past 3rd very often anyway)

I’m also wondering if it is the brakes themselves because I feel a shift when I let off breaks from a complete stop to move like something is trying to grab/release. Almost as if something slips. This is different then what it has normally done and did not have this feeling before or on my previous cars or 2018 tundra

I ve experimented with this for the last year. If I use brakes normally, or firmly, there s some type of back lash that builds up, and it releases with a thump when I let off the brakes. I ve narrowed it down to braking normally, (my normal braking is 2 sec on, 2 sec off) until I m almost to a stop, then lightly apply brakes to stop. Most of the time I can let off the brakes with no thump.

It's the transmission kicking down to help with stopping
