I have a 2020 TRD Pro and for some reason when I jump in the truck to go my bluetooth never starts playing music automatically. I always have to open my Amazon app and then it starts playing music. Anyone else having this issue?

Are you normally playing music on your phone before you get in the truck?

No not usually but my wife have a 2017 4runner and it will automatically start playing without opening the Amazon app.

The app your using to play music (Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, etc) needs to be open on your phone for it to play through the head unit Bluetooth.

It works the same as with Bluetooth headphones/earbuds.

What FISHN said. My wife's Corolla is the same; it will only play it if you already have the app open on your phone.
