Yeah I have the Ultraterrains and I'm not super impressed by them after 5500 miles. Typical GY get louder as they wear, soft sidewall, and hard to balance.

My coopers that I had before were just as bad tho. They flat spotted every night sitting in the garage.

Thats not very inspiring... I just put GY Wrangler Ultra Terrains on my 2006 4runner after my Duratracs were done (they lasted 80K+!!!)... these have been much quieter, smoother and better in the rain. I'm hoping for success with wear, performance and longevity. On my new Tundra, I put on some Cooper AT3 XLT's and they have been very impressive as well after about 7K miles. I have nothing but good stuff to say on either of these tires.

My 4runner's former Duratracs wore great (over 80K miles!) were great in snow, but I rarely see that in Virginia Beach... not good in the rain, good offroad and fairly loud on the road - though I think that progressively got worse with age and increased tire wear)

These look rad, lots of the squiggles for ice traction too. Could be a good alternate to a duratrac

Dude, If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. My Coopers were crap, they wouldn't hold balance and the flat spotting killed me. Luckily I say Sarcastic DT gave me a credit towards these GY Ultraterrains. They are a smidge better but the quick wear and road noise progressively getting more annoying sucks. Had higher hopes but ohh well, my next go around I might try the Les Schwab house brand open country at.
