Just ordered this from McGeorge. Now it's a race between actually picking up the new truck and the new RSB arriving.

Damn you guys. Told myself I wouldn't go nuts on the truck this time. I'm buying parts before taking possession. It's hopeless.

Quick tip! Put a sway bar in the Sparks cart, set it up, and then leave. Within about 20 mins or so I received an email offering 25% off shipping, which is not cheap. I don’t know if it allows both promo codes, Tundras.com (5% off item) and SHIP25 (25% off shipping). If it only allows one, the shipping code likely is the bigger discount, and it may work on the expedited shipping costs as well. Pretty sure this will also work with other parts.

Good thought! I tried, and at least for me, I was not able to apply both codes at the same time.

I ended up going through McGeorge and got free shipping, which was a couple dollars less than the 5% discount at Sparks.

812A352C-6CCD-44BE-9DA2-FC3215A03997.jpg Fineeeeee take my money! Haha I’m excited for this with all the positive feedback. Just got mine in today from McGeorge. Great price and only took 3 days to ship although I am only a few states away from them ;).

Wondering if anyone has powder coated these. The red is great just a little too loud for me. If so, how much did you pay? Also, how do they go about protecting the end link sleeves?

I’m curious if the Ted front sway bar will have a great effect on the ride also? Does anyone know if trd front sway bar make the front end improved too? Please advise if you’re familiar with that

I had mine powdercoated. But just had them blast the endlinks as not to damage the bushings.
I had my bar, springs, and SDHQ ABS Sensor Guards all coated at the same time and paid $100.

I used Sherwin Williams Automotive paint and clear coat on the end links.
I have a Barcelona Red Truck and had them powdered as close to that as possible.
    Turned out very well.

Makes a difference, just not as profound as the rear.

Did the rear sway bar last night. Big difference for the better. Truck feels more planted to me. Not much off roading for me. So it should have been done a long time ago. Might do the front as well. Thanks for the reviews and opinions on this much needed mod.

So FSB arrived earlier this week. Came in all boxed up and pretty. Whoever did the packing there at Lewis Toyota did a great job. Now waiting on my new Milwaukee Impact Wrench to show up next Tuesday to finish it up.

Did the FSB come with install instructions? I have not found the instructions online to know what tools I need or what the required torque values are for the FSB.

Pls. explain a little more about your concern with the end link sleeves....during powder coating or on the truck? If it were me, I would just prime/spray them whatever color I like. You will always have the base red TRD paint base coat for added protection.

I just purchased a RSB from McGeorge. As I looked through this thread, I noticed that my leaf springs don't look like some of the others on here. Mine are more of a flat W shape. I didn't get the RSB to address this issue. I'm running Bilstein 5100's in the rear and have C4 bumpers, but nothing excessively heavy. Curious to your thoughts on the leaf springs.

I think what is being referenced are the ends of the gold colored sleeve rather than the eyelets on the ends of the connecting links. What little I know about powder coating is the it involved some degree of heat, but I don't know if the rubber bushings can survive those temps. I know that when wheels are powder coated, the weights and valve stems are removed. I would think that the place doing the paint would require that the bushing be removed or do it themselves if it was prudent.

    Not enough....
Yeah your springs look a little tired. These trucks are known to have soft springs, and it doesn't seem terribly uncommon for this to happen. I'm not sure where you are in the country, but Dobinson's make a great replacement leaf pack (4 springs + 2 smaller overload). They provide around 2 of lift however. Only $490 before shipping. I have been extremely happy with mine so far. https://www.dobinsonsdirect.com/pro...oyota~md_tundra~yr_2007-2021-suspension-parts

Drop the spare, how hard is that? I think I can hear it leaking air, you better check it anyway. :p

Easy to drop, a B to lift by yourself. Used another person just to guide it last time I raised it.

How much lift? I have 1.5" shackles and no problems under normal driving conditions. Now, I will say that if either side is close to full articulation that the leaf spring will contact the sway bar. I think this is why most don't recommend using the RSB if doing off-roading.

That and the intent of the RSB is to prevent the motion that off-road articulation produces. The RSB is not intended for an articulation heavy use case.

    FYI,

Not sure if overall this is any cheaper, but shipping is free and these guys are great:
I think you can get the same deal here too and they're probably closer to you:

Yes Wynned was correct about the temperatures. I read that someone had the links powder coated and it ruined the bushings. Going to go the sandblasting route and just repaint them myself assuming the price is right
