    Just checking,

I have about 80k on the truck and am going to change the plugs soon and was thinking of doing the coils because I will be in there anyways.

any pros/cons to using msd or ngk other performance type coil.

Truck runs fantastic as it is.

just routine maintenance and upgrade questions.

only running TRD intake and soon an exhaust system.

OEM / Denso is made in Japan

    MSD is made in China

NGK -- not sure where made

The stock OEM coil is perfectly fine on 500 hp supercharged 3URFE engines, not sure there is a " performance " gain using a different coil unless you go to a multiple discharge COP ( aftermarker ECU )

thanks, that seems to be the popular opinion is that the oem ones last forever and are being used on all types of boosted applications.

Also it’s the “don’t replace them until they are bad” mindset.

I guess I’ll leave them alone until one goes bad, which is rare
