2021 Tundra Transmission

Guys, quick question, What is the 2021 Tundra Transmission Code?
Anyone know of a transmission controller for it?

 

What are you referring to when you say transmission controller?

 

What is a transmission controller?

 

If we eliminate the stock Engine ECM that probably is the one that controls the transmission, we need a separate transmission controller, like for example USshift sales for the FORD auto transmissions.

 

I have never heard of anything like that and you can't just eliminate the ECM.

 

I mean...someone was going to post it eventually... If you want to change how the transmission shifts, et al. You're going to have to wait until one of the tuners cracks the ECU/TCU.

Awesome, thank you, my doubt started with this code as it is in the Tundra since 2007 and using Google I saw many other newer models like the A760E/F and thought it should be one of the newer versions...

 

AB60E = 2WD, AB60F = 4WD

A760E/F is for the 4.6L. Not necessarily a newer transmission (except in the Tundra). Probably the same transmission used for the Lexus application.

If you have a Tundra, the transmission code is on one of the stickers on the driver side door jamb. I believe it's on the white sticker, down along the bottom edge.

 

Correct E=2WD and F=4WD and thanks for the clarification on the "newer" codes, I will use AB60E or F for our controller quest, thank you!

 

The transmission is controlled by the ECM. There is no tuning capabilities/nothing available to modify any of the software components of the ECM 2021 trucks.
