Day 1 was filled with everything from fixing rock chips, to paint correction, to using a number of different systems (tools with different pads and matched up chemicals.) Starting to see pros and cons of each system. Rupes makes some damn fine, but expensive tools and attachments. Used a combination of corded and battery powered tools. Once again, several pros and cons of each. Battery life and charge times are a downside for batteries, but they are lighter than the corded tools. Every car (6 of them) washed was done waterless, using Dr. Beasley product. One takeaway from today is that I don’t fear doing some things with tools that my inexperience had me avoiding. We did a lot of red cars and a big ol Lincoln that took a lot of correcting and polishing, but it went from looking crappy to ready to go to a car show. My legs are shot, we went hard from 7:30 until 6:00. Many of the guys are already in the detailing business, so some very good in depth questions have been asked. This is an all out “hands on” training, no chairs in the room. But you don’t have time to sit, you are constantly moving from topic to topic, from wiping , polishing, claying. - it all going on.
Early returns is that the expense and effort with pay high dividends.
Now I gotta go to sleep.......

I’m going to do a better report when I get home, need to spend some time with Momma while we are in Florida. I did enjoy the class and would have no hesitation in recommending it to those who’d want to start, improve, and finesse their game of detailing.

Wtf does being BLS trained have to do with car detailing?
