I replaced the big antenna with a stubby. But it does have the satellite radio antenna on the roof.

Ok, to phrase it better... the play in the center bearing is like "throwing a hotdog down a hallway" loose.

This might be a stupid question but just got my second oil change done on my tundra and I happened to notice that when accelerating the oil pressure gauge goes from 1/2 to 3/4. Is that normal? I haven’t noticed it before. When cruising at a normal speed it stays steady at 1/2. Just wanna make sure the des,er didn’t over fill or do something stupid.

An increase in oil pressure when the engine is under load is normal, as long as it stays in the safe range and returns to its standard position once the load is decreased.

Ok so my problem is driving me crazy. I have a 2007 4x4 Limited. I had the falling break pedal the truck would stop but the peadel once stoped it would sink to the floor. checked for leaks and found none so I was thinking the MC was bad and since the truck is a 2007 with 125k I changed it out for a New Toyota MC. The pedal feels 100% better but still feels like its soft, so I bleed the system a second time and it was good for a few days then went back to the soft spongy pedal so I did a bleed and there was Air in the lines for the 3rd time what am I missing I know Im bleeding them correct whats my next step thanks for any help

I’ve got a 2013 with less than 10k miles. Appears garaged and everything runs well (exactly as it should for the nearly new condition).
My question is all of Tundras services except brake fluid are based on mileage intervals; given the age of the truck are there services that I should perform based on time rather than mileage? I don’t think any service has ever been performed other than an oil change.
    Thanks so much in advance.

No I bought it 6 months ago. An elderly couple used it once a week to make dump runs.

Good evening. I had my wheels & tires replaced yesterday at Discount Tire. They had to put new TPMS in since the old ones wouldn't fit correctly. The light was on when I left, but they said to call or come back if it didn't go off & they would fix it. It was flashing when turning the truck on and then staying on after driving about 30 miles, so I went back today and had them try to do a relearn. The guy told me the computer wouldn't communicate with my OBD2 port. All the dash lights were flashing when he plugged it in, but he said it wouldn't communicate. I can't imagine that my ECU is fried... Is there something else you suggest trying before I have to go to the dealership for a re-flash? The thought of a fried ECU makes me sick! :( 2014 1794 Tundra 4x4. Thanks.

I have a question about my Tundra. So for starters i recently installed a bully dog platinum tuner on my truck and sense then i have been having some issues.

First and main issue is when i am accelerating in the lower gears once the RPMS pass 4500 the engine stops producing power but still continues to rev up.

Second problem is I would like to learn how to download aftermarket tunes to my bullydog to increase hp and economy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

To follow up on this, I did replace the center bearing. It really needed it bad. However, the actual problem was broken teeth on the rear diff ring gear.

Cause? From the adjoining two teeth it appears something got in the gear.

I was wondering if it was the Skid Control ECU. Or if something else resolved it. Having the same issues here.

I can ask, but I think he ended up finding someone who had the right machine to bleed them. I don’t remember anything about the ECU. I do know he never managed to get the warning lights to go off.

I'm pretty sure that all the newer models are zerk-free. I think I have seen that posted here somewhere. Some have even posted that they replaced OEM parts with after-market parts with zerks.

To preface I've never owned a V8 before. Always small trucks: '81 22R standard, '90 3.0L Ex Cab, '98 3.4L Tacoma... And now a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro 5.7L. I like to think I know a good noise from a bad one -- I've blown head gaskets, CV joints, etc.

Anyway, since I've owned my TRD Pro it's made this noise (see video)... A sort of clack clack w/ the revolution of the motor. It only does it at around 1400 rpm when the truck is more or less coasting up a mild hill. I really notice it when I'm in 4 Low... Maybe because I always wheel w the windows down, idk. But now that I've noticed it, I can't stop noticing it... And it's driving me crazy.

Is it normal? Is it the timing chain? I kinda thought a seal, but I can't hear it if I give it more juice... Of if the rpms are fast/slow.

    Check video here -- https://photos.app.goo.gl/tkAaPcCEVG2FesML6

    Thanks!!

Anyone know much about early 2000s Lexus'?

Picked up a used 06 gs300 couple months ago as a daughters first cat. Ran and drove great, really started liking it more myself!

I've read about their issues and recalls and thought I had a gem... Until recently... It developed a hard downshift from 2nd to 1st coming to a stop... Not unheard of in that gen GS world...

I keep seeing that it's computer related but the Toyota dealer diagnosed it needed a new transmission at the tune of $6600 (in Hawaii so wasn't THAT surprised...). I don't even think the thing books at that anymore? They said they tried reprogramming the trans computer with no luck... Maybe it's bad?

Anyway, just wondering if someone had more info to maybe save me some money...

Gonna be looking into other quotes, but don't want to throw in a new (used) trans and have it be the ECM...

    Thanks for any help!!

Any reason I should not just let Grease Monkey replace the driveline fluids/differentials, trany fluid and flush radiator on my 2010 Tundra DC TRD with 104k miles.

Just seems time for these fluid change outs. Is there something they would do different I should think about. Seems an economical choice…Not realy into paying dealer for such basic things at a much higher cost…

UPDATE, i did not use grease monkey. used a very reputable local foreign auto repair shop.
