Hi guys, I’m in the market for a tundra and looking at what’s best for 3” lift? I off-road but still need on road comfort. Thanks

There are alot of options depending on price. Many of us run Toytec coilovers and shackles.

From reading and browsing toytec seems to be a popular brand here. Are they off-road proven?

IMO, the best one is one you can actually get right now.

You'll get a lot of King and Fox suggestions, and while I cant argue with that, I can argue that we dont want to wait till November.

Last I heard from Headstrong Offroad was that Fox were out to November.

I did a lot of research before settling in 6112 at 1.9 + shim. It’s not the best, but it might be the best for the price.

To get 3” on most lifts that are 1.5-3” lifts you’ll be maxing preload. I was led to believe that toytec uses 700lb springs. The 6112 allegedly use a 650 lb spring.

My setup is pretty good, but would assume /hope that kings, fox, Elka, or ads would all do certain things (or everything) better. Lots of folks use toytec, but plenty of people have reported a “harsher than desired” final product.

    good luck with your choice!

I just got some Fox 2.5 DSC's (front + rear) put on this Friday. Haven't gotten around to playing around with it yet, but based on how it feels now vs before (it was stock), I am very happy with it.

Can't speak to this vs other set ups, but have heard good things about toytec and bilsteins. Ultimately depends on your use/needs and budget.

Availability is what really pushed me to look at dobinsons and iron man. I have the dobinson IMS on all four corners now. Probably would have gone fox 2.5 if they were available

I talked a friend of mine from work into the fox kit from BDS he ordered last month and installed it on his truck last weekend.. so 3 week wait doesn't sound to bad to me

I would be running Fox 2.5 IFP with the 2.0RR rears if I wasnt a 4 month wait when I ordered my Eibachs, back in January. Oh well, next time I guess.

Anyone that is considering Toytec should also checkout Radflo and Elka. As far as I understood Elka makes their 2.5s and Radflo was making their 2.0s. All three seem like good choices.

Whatever you get, don't buy a spacer lift, you'll regret it. Spend the extra dough and get coilovers. The truck I bought already had spacers, but I'm about to pull the trigger on some coils. Had spacers on my Ram - nothing but problems, switched to coilovers

Best option would be some tuned Fox 2.5 Coilovers & Shocks with DSC adjusters. Top quality, superior ride quality and will out last some of the cheap shock options out there.

Spacer lifts definitely don’t fit the “best 3” lift” category, but I’ve got 60k on my 3” spacer lift, and it’s been problem free. Including some pretty big adventures, and lots of miles on crappy roads! I am however looking to upgrade now, as I’d like more performance. But not because I’ve had any problems, and I certainly don’t regret going that route initially.

I just got a call from a SoCA shop for Fox 2.5 DSC's. I placed my order today! Check your local shop, maybe Fox pulled a miracle.

I originally wanted to get a Toytech/Eibach lift, but they were/still backordered for weeks.

So I went to the Eibach site and bought directly from them. A lot of kits are out of stock right now....o_O
