No on the flush, do however do a drain and fill every 50-60k

I think the word "flush" is being used very loosely in this thread. Toyota dealers will do a fluid exchange but not a power flush. They hook up lines to the trans cooler and let the trans pump cycle out the old and suck in the new. You can exchange all 15 or so quarts of trans fluid at once this way. This will not hurt your trans by blocking passageways with debris this way. It's a $300 charge at the dealer which is mostly the cost of the OEM trans fluid. I would be more worried about doing short interval drain and fills due to this transmission being very picky about the fluid level. I don't trust most Toyota techs to get the level dialed in.

I do a drain and fill on all my Toyota’s every 30k.. keeps the fluid nice and red..

    at 100k your typically fine

This is my trans fluid after 130k miles. It was supposed to be serviced 50k miles ago. C781FE83-F8CB-485F-AC3F-BCF345E1EB9D.jpg

That’s about how it’ll look after 50k... the WS turns black pretty quick. Does it mean it’s bad? No.

Besides the fact that that I paid for the service that didn’t get done (I marked the bolts), the manufacture calls for service every 60k miles.

I’m taking care of the WS turning black issue. AMSOIL went in.

This what I do as well.

get a case of fluid. Drain and refill. Run trans through gears. Repeat until you’ve gone through a case. Then on last round drop pan and replace filter.

I did mine at 100k but only drain and fill. I was always told not to flush it.
