There was a Software update that was sent out a couple weeks ago. I’m sure everyone saw it and most have already updated their radios. As always I updated it and didn’t really notice any changes until I went to my Toyota dealership today. I got to my Toyota dealership today to talk to my Service Advisor and to make appointment for Service next week. He asked me if I accepted the Software update for the radio ? I said yes ! Then, He said you probably shouldn’t have updated your radio. After he said that he asked me to start the Tundra and put it in reverse. Then, he pointed out the green lines that show up on the backup screen are fuzzy. I really didn’t notice until he pointed it out. My Service Advisor said he also did the update and got the same results. So, next week when I’m there for my service appointment we are going to start a case with Toyota. Hopefully something comes out of it. So, Now I want to ask other members of Tundras.com to go check your backup screen for the green fuzzy lines. I’m sure that I’m not the only one who will notice the green fuzzy lines on the backup screen. Let me know.

There was a post on here a while back about a small “squiggle” in one of the lines. I never noticed it until that post. Not sure if I had updated the radio or not.

BUT when on vacation in March, we had a rental Highlander and it’s backup camera had the exact same little squiggle. :notsure:

I don’t spend a lot of time staring at my rear view screen.

I don’t spent a lot time staring at my screen either and wouldn’t even noticed until my Service Advisor pointed it out to me. If there’s a fix good, If not it’s okay.

Sometimes you want to smack the guy that points that stuff out, cuz then you can’t unsee it.

I guess my point was that the Highlander had the same exact thing…so I just figured it was a camera thing and not to worry about it.

True… Now that I know that there’s fuzzy green lines on my screen I will probably notice it for a while.
