I've been running these tires for about 20k miles so far, for anyone wondering, they're definitely starting to get louder as they continue to wear, but the traction is fantastic

Did you buy them in pairs and get $100 off each order though? Worked for me.

Has anyone tried the Continental TerrainContact A/T? A well known publication ranked them highest in the A/T category, being better in handling and noise, but not quite as good with snow. It doesn't appear to have quite the aggressive tread as the others and is limited in sizes on the upper end. Just curious whyno one has mentioned these.

    A couple reasons:
    1. This thread is about the Toyo AT3.
    2. I just heard they are bad in snow, not aggressive tread, and limited sizes. Dunno.

Tires went on first thing this morning, followed by a ~500 k road trip in the foothills and mountains. Some gravel and snow.

I like the tires in 275/70R18 so far. This size has a bit ‘chunkier’ tread than some of the other sizes of the AT3 I’ve seen, which I’m very happy with. These are as mild a tire as I’d want.

It’s a pretty quiet tire on the highway and gravel roads. The truck is more responsive on pavement with these vs the Duratracs. They seem decent in the snow and mud, but not quite as good as the Duratracs in the deeper stuff.

Overall I like them a lot and it seems like they should be quite a bit better off-road than the ATIIs. Time will tell, but it seems like another great tire from Toyo.

So those from Montana don’t run dedicated winter tires (Nokian, Blizzak, iPike, etc.)? I really want to have one set / a year round tire but afraid to go this route after having a set of Nokian studded tires. With the amount of snow and ice I get where I live, Nokian’s are king. I don’t care who you are...studs win 100% of the time on ice.

Read through this thread and was leaning toward the Toyo RT's. Any advice on getting these vs the RTs? They are about the same price.

Many do, I dont. Largely for size reasons. I have yet to see someone stud a 35 or 37.

Well after much debate with myself I pulled the trigger on the AT III's instead of the RTs. My heart wanted the RTs for the looks but the III's are just better on paper for my needs. And FWIW, this morning I read an article saying that tires are going to be the next shortage due to rubber supply and demand. Who knows what will happen but I do know that the set I had in my cart this morning sold out and I had to source them from another supplier and pay a little more. If anyone is on the fence about when to pull the trigger you might do it sooner than later just in case.

I am running standard load 275/65/18 on my new truck. On my old Tundra I put nearly 14k on a set of 285/70/17 C-rated AT3s and really liked them. They were great in the snow, mud etc. These seem quieter right off the bat. Don't know how much of that is being standard load, or 10mm narrower or whatever. But looking forward to a long run with these.

I have a 2020 TRD Pro and about to install a TRD Front Sway Bar. Looking at the AT3 285/75/18 to go on my TRD Pro wheels. If I get 1.25" wheel spacers with the TRD FSB on that tire size, is there any major modification I'd need to do?

You will not need spacers on a Pro with that size tire. Those tires are only 11.3" wide. I had 285/75/18 Duratracs (11.2" wide) on my 20 Pro and there was plenty of room around the sway bar and skid plate.

Thank you, the reason I wanted the wheel spacers is to give my truck a better looking stance. I wasn't sure if I added the wheel spacers, would it make the AT3s rub on the flaps or other parts.

How did you look on the front between the bumper? i just did a 3/1 with 285/75/18 and I’m touching the front side of the fender well.

I had a good amount of room. I did take all the mud flaps off though.

I'll play. I had my eye on these for a few months now and finally got them on today. I went with the D rated 35x12.5 18 on my coachbuilder pro (2 shims up front and 1 1/4 shackle out back). They are replacing 295 70 18 toyo at2 with about 45k on them, they still have some life but I wanted these tires. All I can say is I'm super impressed. I've owed more than my fair share of mud and a/t tires on multiple vehicles: toyo at2, bfg km2, bfg ko2, Hankook dynapro atm, falken at3, nitto trail grappler, nitto Terra grappler, Goodyear duratrac ect... These are so far my favorite tire. Smooth as can be, balanced out perfect and look great on the truck. I almost went with the RT but had to be real with myself on what I needed vs how it would look.
My truck is mainly street and hwy but does see the snow, sand, gravel and the occasional mud. I have faith that the these will outperform the at2s in every category .
What sold me the most was the D rating, no need for an E rating much less F, and their weight. Toyo knocked it out if the park with this tire. If there is a size you want/need, pick em up. Will post pics later when I have some daylight.

Bilstien 5100's all around. Slight rubbing on the drivers side body mount. Had it realigned and no more rubbing. I will be doing the BMC when I get around to it which will take care of any concerns. Also, the mud flaps are removed and the ones that are mounted on the bumper are trimmed.
