I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in this thread but maybe someone can answer again for me.

Why does the bushing need to be changed for the CB shackles? Can you just use the oem bushings and bolts these things up??

I don't have them myself yet, but from what I understand the CB bushing is a different material that enhances the ride. some folks buy the CB bushing as a standalone upgrade without their shackles.

Has anyone running the +3 shackles had any problems with their rear shocks? I'm wanting to add about 2.25" over stock to the rear with CB shackles and a new leaf pack. I'm concerned the rear shocks won't be able to handle the lift and will fail prematurely. Thoughts, anyone?

I don't think my wheels have an offset. I got the scs group buy from here but they didn't have an offset that I recall

    hello all!
I just traded my 2008 crewmax in for a 2021 Tundra crewmax TRD Pro. I wish it had more on it similar to my older limited, but i love it the same. My understanding of suspension components is super basic. I think i get the concepts but figuring out the best way to lift with my limitations and preferences has been a bit much. I know it can work but there seem to be not many options for our pros. I was hoping i could sort of list my thoughts and hopefully get some feed back as to what and why....

mostly drive city/highway, 25% towing and light off roading after that.
I will most likely run the stock pro wheels with 295/75R18.
i do not want to replace any of the fox/trd shocks.
I do not like or trust wheel spacers although they look awesome!
i do not want to alter the ride quality or travel like doing a preload kit.
I HATE sag! especially when towing! I want to keep AT LEAST 1in of rake.
i have a brush guard so do not want to push bumper out (don't think i will have to cause wheel/tire size.)
i do not want excess wear on components, cv boots, drive shaft angles meaning i want everything properly operational. not "within spec that will work" but optimal position done right! Safety and reliability are a concern as my kids ride with me daily. things like dropping the carrier bearing or replacing control arm is fine as it puts things back into the proper angle.

i have read about shims, blocks, shackles, add a leaf, wedges, preloaders, all seem to have their draw backs. every combo i find eventually as a deal breaking drawback.
    ready lift sst2in looks good.
people seem to like the CB shims up front and shackle with bushings in the back, but won't that flatten leaf suspension prematurely? but what about the bump stop and it hitting the exhaust? I just get overwhelmed and confused after reading so much with differing opinions and results.

I like the coachbuilder reputation, and they seem to have solid products.

I was kinda sold on the coach builder but i really don't want wheel spacers unless i have to , so may lean toward the ready lift SST. are there any draw backs to the ready lift SST? Would it be better to use shackles in the back instead of blocks? why or why not? thanks

Do we have to use wheel spacers with the CB kit? TRD exhaust won't be a problem? Is the bumper spacer required for the 295/70r18 size tires?

    just threw stuff at it
if you're going to install the steering kit and keep the oem wheels, yes you will need the wheel spacers.

Long time listener, first time caller. Preparing for an SR5 build. What would be the pro's and con's to adding CB's shims and shackles to an aftermarket suspension (Icon's or Fox's 2.5 Resi's). Ultimately wanting to achieve a combination of lift and performance, and the ability to add 35x12.5's without needing to CMC/BMC. Would CB's stuff give me enough lift above the coilover's? Or does this introduce other problems I would encounter? Feel like I'm facing paralysis by analysis. Thanks

Dont know with Icon, but if you do the Fox 2.5" you wont really need shims. Most people seem to get 3+" of lift out of the box.

Rear shackles have been said to stabilize the ride from the rear end. Only con I know of is theyre quite large and can contact the exhaust when fully flexed. Not really a con as it wont do much. In your case I'd go Fox or Icon with a +2 or +3 in the rear.

The RL 6" Kit reuses the OE tie rods and would highly recommend continuing to use our steering kit and Shackles. You'll want to add our larger carrier bearing drop kit kit. Feel free to reach out if you need help with anything else.

I bought some gently used CB +2 shackles and 1/4” shims from a member here. (They actually look brand new still!). I was thinking of adding one shim up front with the +2’s. My stock Pro currently has about a .5” rake. If I add one 1/4” shim up front theoretically it would make it perfectly level. Then if I add the +2’s that would give me 1.25” of rake, right? Am I thinking about this correctly?

Umm yea I guess so…. Idk really. I did 1 shim up front equals 1inch lift and +3 rear equals 1.75 inch lift. Pictures on top ^^^. Go base on that I guess.

How much rake do you have? If I did one 1/4” shim up front and the +2’s it would be .5” lower front and rear from your set up.

Your truck looks prettY sweet by the way.
