That thread was about the orange one which was nothing more than an led strip. However, I have not seen the one that the OP linked.

My bad. I will be interested to see the opinions. I would like a hood bulge light bar that is reasonable and works well.

I ended up not choosing this light, as it is actually 41.625 inches.

I ordered the single row 41" nilight from Amazon.

No complaints as of now. For a $100 light bar it's hard to complain. Not quite finished with the install. It is getting late. All I have left to do is clean up the wiring and finish bolting on the hood bulge.

Here is a quick video from the cab.
Low beams, high beams, then light bar

Did the light come with mounting brackets?

Can you post some more pics of how this mounts to the hood bulge if you get a chance, curious to see how this fills the space and what all had to be done make it a tight fit around the light, looks good so far!

I have Extreme LED 38” slim line. Very happy
You can use sdhq brackets with little modifications.
I also have 30” RC led bar in the bumper but extreme LED is better in my opinion.

I sure can. I am about to head out to finish it up now. I will take some more pictures before I close it all up.
I don't think you can have a much tighter fit to be honest.

It's a pretty simple job. You have to cut the three braces and the two tabs on the ends. Then you can mock it up and mark your holes.

So I got the chance to get out of the city and hit the back roads in Southern Illinois last night. I can say without a doubt, I am extremely pleased with the performance of this cheap nilight light bar. I mean it is dad gum bright folks. It has a good spot down the road and plenty of flood to the left and right.
Who knows how well it will hold up. But it has a 2 year warranty and I can easily buy another one later if I needed to.

    No problem
This is just the light bar no wiring, relay or switch.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019XS8BKK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

This is the wiring kit I used. The switch however is too big. You will need a "toyota small switch if you want it to fit in one of the factory blanks.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074GWMRGD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Pro tip, I also used two button head allen bolts for mounting the light bar instead of the allens that came with it. This allows it to rest a little farther back in the hood bulge.

I just picked up this light bar from Amazon made in the USA. 119.00 bucks LED Light Bar 40 inch - 4WDKING Screwless 200W IP69K Waterproof Off-Road Combo LED Work Light Super Bright Truck Driving Fog Lamp Fit for Ford F150 Polaris RZR Jeep Wrangler Opens in a new tab and it fits the bulge perfectly, didn't need the wiring kit because I have the Switch-Pros controller, Just put the Sasquatch light sticker on the button. Extremely bright for the money almost as bright as my 40" bumper light from Rigid which cost over 1K. Definitely well worth the money, THE NV light bar super expensive and way harder to wire up. I will upload the file with beam comparison once I'm done with the install of my 30" ADAPT light.

Well I made some changes to the original configuration that I planned with my Tundra. For the price of the Rigid Adapt light, I opted for a couple of Baja Designs light bars, an S8 wide Amber light for fog, and an OnX 6 combo driving, both 40” light bars. I ditched the Rigid Radiance Curved light for the Rigid RDS PRO midnight edition 40” light bar for the bumper. In the hood bulge I returned the Amazon light for the Rigid Radiance Plus SR-series 40” RBGW Light for the hood bulge. With a couple of Rigid DSS PRO ditch lights and Rigid SR Series Pro driving lights in the fog light section of the bumper.

Does the Rigid bar in the bulge have the gap in front of it like the S8 does?

Very little if any gap. I did have to trim the inside of the bulge at the corners for a flush fit. No vibrations or noise even at 100mph.

Now for installs, all of those black clips get removed and replaced with nutplates and screws. For strength, could you still do the aluminum bar to reduce flex and then build up the areas around the plastic clip mounts with JB Weld? Putting the screen portion back in would help some too. I put it back in mine.

JB Weld sounds like a good idea.

I'll take pics when I redo mine. I also had to completely remove the 2 end clips because it was hitting my bar on the original install. Once I pushed the bar farther back, my corners of the bulge stick up a little and have a gap when it's in the hot sun. I have a new bulge already. Pushing the bar back allowed me to align it easier and allow me to reinsert the screen portion to hide the big gap between the edge of the bulge and the bar.

Gonna have to show me the nutplates and screws you're talking about as well. Anything to beef it up some more is a good thing.
