    There are oval spots open, but there isn't enough oval spots open for all the switches I have planned. So I stuck it up in the sunglasses holder. I knew I'd have enough room up there for more switches. I like everything to be in one place.

    Cloth bench here. No center console with open switch spots.

    See, I was under a lot of duress at the time. I woke up late that day, and I think that was the straw for my brain to say "hey, you need a full reboot."

    So I was aware, and conscious of everything happening but I had zero motor function. None. I just had to sit and watch everything happen. I regained control shortly after this.

    Thank you. I'm trying to do what I can for my ole girl. I was raised in her. I want to keep her as long as I can. Hence the name, "lifetime project."

    Wow, that's a bit scary. Glad it was just a fender flare. Yikes.

    So, you plan to do more switches up there? If it's a total sacrifice of the sunglass holder, have you considered a 5 or 6 oem small switch blank setup? The toggle seems to break some of the feng shui of the roundy 1st gens to me, though I guess rectangular switches are no better?

    ^^ I'm thinking something like 2 of those or one with 6 spots if you can find it?

    It's probably nuts to try to get oval switches in there but that'd be seriously badass if you managed to pull it off (maybe steal the blank and use it to trace with a pencil then cut with a blade and jb-weld in your switches?

    Yeah, it was a bummer. I'm not sure if I'll order replacements for the whole wraparound or just take the other three off.

    Kinda undecided.
    I agree it does break some of the curvy goodness of the interior, but I have no clue where I'd put a switch blank such as that.

    I don't have a lot of real estate with the bench seats. If I had buckets with more center console action I could go that route.

    I think it would be doable with the above links. I chose the sunglasses holder for two reasons basically.
    1. I could fit everything there.
    2. If I ever wanted to replace it I'd only need the overhead console. Not the lower kick panel, or the whole one piece dash. Easy to replace later.

    Just Low Beams with our sweetly designed 2000-2002 OEM Toyota Fog Lights seem to be pretty darn nice in your pics.

    Your ditch lights add some nice side action, but are illegal on my roads. I’m wondering if there is an LED Projector Head Lamp out there that would add some greater width (with a little more distance over the Fogs) to work in conjunction with of our Fogs? I want a wider beam in the Head Lamps.

    Saturday morning I had a multiple cylinder misfire for about 30 seconds. Truck had been sitting since May 23rd. The only thing I can figure through thought experiments was a slow drain on battery from the relay box, or a real slow leak on an injector.

    Here's a link to the post I made about it.

    Truck straightened up after 30 seconds or so of idling. Gave it a @Darkness approved Italian Tune up. Ran like a top. I'll drive it this coming Friday to stretch its legs.

    Brake "Debacle" has been fended off until "Necks time" on Pawn Stars. Never again will I employ the help used Saturday morning as there was a blockage in the passengers rear brake cylinder.

    Also did a turkey baster draw'n'fill of the power steering fluid. All was going well until my baster came apart in my hand. Draw bulb full of fluid, of course. The air from the fan splattered fluid all over the engine bay, and me...

    There was a slight film. Fluid is 6 months old as I had a total drain when I installed Wheelers stainless steel lines. Front, and rear during my front end overhaul.
    Back story will have to wait until more free time can be had. We are down two guys at work, and we're covered up. Got all we can do. I'll post it in the campfire thread.
    I haven't a clue. I know that I took a peek in the bleeder port on the cylinder, and didn't see anything outstanding.

    Could be shitey Autobones cylinders on the way out.

    Thinking on my rear brakes last night at work, I realized I never adjusted my LSPV arm up when I lifted the truck. Adjusted, and lubed today.

    Personally, for an adjustment of this nature I hate "Just give it a quarter turn" because that's subjective. I prefer to use a scale for accurate adjustments that anyone else can follow.

    Time for the pictures. I "filtered" these pictures to make contrasts easier to see for the reader because my lens was dirty, and you'll see the cleanliness of my hands. Didn't want them anywhere near the lens.

    Raised both jamb nuts 4mm after running a sacrificial nut up and down the threaded shaft to clean up any wild threads. Adjustment is Schmooooov!

    Gojo Supro Maxx is there for all your grit'n'grime needs. I've even used it in my hair, and on my face. Makes great exfoliation! Short drive up to the chapel on the hill. Braking is super schmooov now. Front end nose dive has been greatly reduced, but not completely diminished. Truck feels mostly level on braking except for slight nose dive which I prefer.

    Here's a link to scale I used which I get for free.99 at work. Stays in the pen pouch of the shirt. Use it all the time there.

    Many thanks to @Festerw for unknowingly giving me the confidence to try this. Don't know why something so simple had my brain in such knots.

    Installed check valve on vacuum line to brake booster.

    Played around with vacuum line disconnected from booster, and fiddling with this to get my brain to fully accept the idea.

    While fiddling with it, I figured out that I had this installed backwards in the above photo.. Arrow should be pointing to engine otherwise the vacuum generated by engine is only closing the check valve. Not passing through it. The idea here is the check valve holds vacuum on brake booster with the truck off. (Residual vacuum in booster should be enough to close, and seal check valve?)

    I listened to the brake booster at idle while the line was hooked up. Booster was making a Hissssssssssss. Remove the line, and no hiss. Sounds to me like the booster is leaky, but it still passes all the FSM tests so I'm at an impasse.

    Is the booster good? Well, I'm not dead. Brakes feel great.

    Is it allowing air into the system? Probably, which is why I've bled my brakes twice in 6 months.

    Will the check valve help with air in the brake system? I haven't a clue, but it was there from the factory. Theres a reason for it, even if I don't know that reason. My dumbass just didn't put another one back on when I redid my vacuum lines.

    I'm at a stale mate, and as always will welcome your advice going forward. Anyone, feel free to chime in on this issue. I'm all ears.

    History of booster. Replaced with unknown origin part in 2009-ish by dad? Unknown if OEM, Unknown if Aftermarket. Unknown miles. Known unknown.

    Transmission drain, and fill. Oil change.
    Last transmission drain, and fill was 26,009 miles ago. Retrieved Blackstone lab sample. Old fluid looked like light dark cherry. Still plenty of red to it.

    Last engine oil change was 5,556 miles ago.

    Seemed like when I had my T100 before my tundra there was a panel you could buy to do it but a quick search didn’t bring up anything.

    First off, Welcome! I'm honored that you'd make your first post on my build thread.

    I am still loving the hood lights! I think it's one of my best mods! Your switch panel looks good! I got some measurements of similar switches to yours from Amazon, and then mocked up an accurate model. I didn't have enough room in the corner to corner area of the sunglasses holder. I suspect that Double cab trucks have a bigger overhead console. Perhaps at the end of this month I can compare mine to @jpink's truck for accurate information.

    Actually not my switch panel just grabbed an example pic I found. I haven’t checked on doing one yet in my double cab although I may eventually. I was also going to ask what size tire are you running on the tacoma rims? I have looked at getting a set myself but heard there was some issues with backspacing on the tundra once you start getting into a bigger tire. Any issues with rubbing on the inner fender with yours?

    I didn't even consider backspacing when I picked these up. $400 for rims, and tires? Shooot! As far as I know there isn't any rubbing issues. These are 265/70/R16 if memory serves.

    Draining non-toy spec green coolant today. Will refill with distilled water for flush. To be done at a later date: cycle through a few rounds of distilled. One round of zerex flush, and one final fill of zerex.

    Drained as much out as I could get. Filled with two containers of Prestone. Topped off with 2.5 gallons of water, not sure if I got all the air out, as I suspect the thermostat never opened

    Keep burping until you get it mostly out. Fill it to just above coils, fill reservoir to cold level, crank it up, turn heater on max, let engine run idle, no reving, with radiator cap off ?
    Let her sit over night if possible, let it settle, fill radiator and reservoir to proper levels repeat burping !

    The cheat sheet you posted above says 10.5 quarts.
    Personally, when I'm fairly confident I have burped it adequately and after it has sat over night, I then go by the level in the plastic overflow bottle. That's your baseline to go by when you're checking under hood that all your levels are proper !

    Good advice! The FSM has been proven wrong before on proper amount for our ATF. Not saying this is the case, but I was at 2.25 gallons when radiator was full, and added the other quarter gallon to the overflow. Drove up to the chapel on the hill, and back with no change in overflow reservoir. Either way, redneckistan math says that I should be right at 10 quarts put back in. Missing half a quart somewheres...

    I did make sure to open the heater core to the system before draining. Left it open for filling. Will need to tinker with it tomorrow. I'll drive the truck the next two days to work. That will give the distilled water/flush mixture four hours/200~ish miles to work its magic. Sit for a day to cool off, and then drain again. Refill with just distilled. Same routine.
