Getting prepped for the first Cape Lookout trip of the year. Got the front hitch installed and cooler/rod rack just in time. Leaving Friday coming back Monday will try to take a bunch of pics and provide some updates on the camping and fishing. As always pack it in pack it out, respect and protect our natural resources!

    Don’t mind the pine pollen!

Caught a dozen fish, none very big, but loving the new rack. Weather was pretty good except Saturday night when it got windy (35+ mph).

Rented a cabin for the first two nights then slept in the topper for the last night. Overall a great trip and can’t wait to go back!14DDB48E-1E72-445B-95D9-C47B877F5099.jpg591A6C31-0F1B-4950-B631-A7E1206C5FE3.jpg7F564457-4507-41A9-AD8D-5DA743EB902A.jpgB06BCA50-0E4B-477B-9EC7-3940CA2496E2.jpg5EFAE468-604D-4CF1-8577-271033F84C02.jpg829E9FC1-4F33-44D9-B735-9454D5611CB9.jpg

Damn nice sea mullet/whiting. We hit the Northern parts Avon and Hatteras couple times a year. I like that isolation you have where your at. You have yo ferry over right

yep have to ferry over which limits the crowds. The OBX are beautiful from north to south. I need to get up to Corolla 4x4 section sometime soon!

@Sbrow191 Great pictures. Which island is that? My wife and I went to the North Core Bank out of Atlantic last October. We had horrible weather but still had a great time. We're planning to go back this year if we can. I love your front cooler/fishing pole hauler.

we went to the south core island out of Davis NC. Going down by “the point” or the southern tip is good during the fall drum run. If you’re quick with the web on January 2nd you can get a good cabin through recreation dot gov (great island cabins). There are some openings on random days too if you are flexible.

My cooler rack was made by Plattinum Products out of Florida. High quality welds I think it will hold up well.

I like your set up as well...I had a hard cap but got rid of it because it was too hard to get to my stuff, and I like to take the top off and use the back roll down window. I went on my trip with a buddy who drove a bone stock version of your truck. 4E8F45F8-749E-48C3-BEE1-1FBB8A7E404E.jpg
