I bought a 2021 4x4 crewcab and absolutely love this truck. I had a Tacoma for 15 years and loved that truck too. The Tundra is my everyday vehicle and we have a Cherokee Grey Wolf 26dbh TT. The truck pulls it great. We are a family of three and we stay under the payload but barely. Since this is my everyday vehicle no way I am getting a 3/4 ton truck I love my Toyota truck. With me being very cautious person and being a rule follower by fault I want to make sure I am pulling safely for not only my family but for everyone else on the road. We are weekend warriors so we don’t travel far. For those of you that tow a lot what do you prefer for a better/safer towing experience? Roadmaster Active suspension or airbags? I also have a WDH as well. Just would like yalls opinions on a better ride while towing. Thanks!

I have airbags and compressor. I can fill up the bags to what ever I’m towing. I tow my 5,000 pound boat a couple weekends a month.
I like the air bags because when I’m not towing I have them empty at 5psi.. so I have stock ride

    I have:
    - TRD rear sway bar
    - Bilstein shocks
    - Blue sumo springs with one donut cut off (makes the ride 'stock' when not carrying weight, more 'firm' when fully loaded)
    - E rated tires

Timbrens, WDH and trd sway bar do the trick for me in my stock bilsteins.

I assume you have brakes and weight distribution dialed in?

Where do you feel like you truck is deficient?

I just added ats heavy duty leaf springs to my setup.

I am fine when I just drive locally to the lake but when i am on the interstate and hit a bridge i porpoise/bounce. It is not bad just gives me a little anxiety. I don't go over 60-65 on interstate while towing. I am a very conservative driver. Thank you for your opinions and advice.

I also have a 2021 Tundra Limited 4 X 4, stock. I tow a 2509s Rockwood, 5200#s dry and 720 TW. With the WDH dialed in it rides level as does the Rockwood. I did upgrade from a recurve R3 to a Hensley which improved the rode and really did eliminate sway which I still had with the R3 tightened down tightly. Enjoy!

    Best—ALAN

It sounds like the springs are holding the weight but you need a bit more shock. That would be a very easy upgrade.

I tow a travel trailer and a boat frequently during the summer. I’ve added a TRD Anti-sway bar, Falcon Tow/Haul shocks at all four corners, +2 Coachbuilder shackles, and E-rated tires. This setup has greatly improved the ride quality and handling, both loaded and unloaded. I tow the TT with an Equalizer WD hitch. Rock solid and stable, no sway, bounce, or bed shake. Very happy with this combo.
