Hey guys. I bought my 2007 Tundra CrewMax second hand. It only came with one keyless entry remote, and I was able to buy another OEM off eBay pretty cheap. I've read the programming can only be done at a Toyota dealership, but it is $50 to do the 2 minute process! Does anyone know how to program the keyless entry remote on your own?

Thanks Sean! I'll keep researching. When I used to rock the Bowtie trucks I knew how to for my Silverado. Surely to goodness there's a way to do it ha!

A few years back I had the same situation with my sons 4x4 trailblazer, I went to a local locksmith that advertised programming keyless remotes. Those guys pretty much have all the codes and you could probably get yours programmed and a spare for less than $50

yes.. a few yes back I had to buy a new fob for my Tacoma before I went tundra. I think I found it off a you tube vid bit there was a sequence of turning the key switch on and off during pressing the button on the fob a number of times.. its been a long while so you would have to google it or do some research.. not sure if its the same on tundrs though.. good luck

ps there is no computer programming, the dealerships do the same

I am in the same boat. Only got one key with remote when I bought my truck. Amazon has a chip key sold by Hot Systems with good reviews and you-tube instructions. "This chipped key blank will only work if your current key has a dot in the key blade near the plastic part, not a letter "G"." I know my key has the "dot" meaning it has the 4D-67 chip which will be compatible with Hot Systems chip key. There are many suppliers of chip keys on Amazon. Read the reviews before you buy. I would stay away from ebay. A lot of keys being sold without chips in them. Buyer beware. rr311's link above is a good one, a little more money but probably better than the Amazon route.

I'm guessing the answer to this is no but is there a way to program the remote to automatically roll down your windows when you hold down the unlock button? I had this feature on a few of my previous vehicles & always used it during the summer to let out some of the heat before entering the vehicle. I'm guess it probably has to be done with an aftermarket alarm?

The various You Tube instructions that I came across but have not tried involved inserting original key into the ignition turning it on and off a few times and opening and closing the drivers door a few times to set up for programming new key. There are specific sequences to perform for it to supposedly work. I saw two variances to this on You Tube but very similar.

Not that I'm aware of, but on the limited and higher editions, if you place the key in the drivers side door, turn it and hold it'll open the windows and sunroof.
