Where are the Bilstein 5100?

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2020 Tundra and I am looking to level it with the 5100's. I am having a hard time finding the adjustable shock for the front (

24-232173) in stock locally. Does any one know of a website that has them in stock? Thanks.

 

You are going to have to do some internet searches and see what you can find.

Parts in general are hard to find now and for the last several months, backordered or have wait times. Impacts everything from car/truck part to boats, ATV, etc. and prices are increasing on many items as well.

Global pandemic has caused a mess with manufacturing, ability to get material, parts, shipping, etc. Just the way it is right now.

 

Yep, my guy at 4 Wheel Parts said the Bilstein stuff I wanted to get for my new truck are on backorder at least until July.

6112 on the front, 5100 on the back

 

Nice! I wanted to get the 6112's, but it gets a bit pricey with everything else I am wanting to get. I was getting the same thing around here some places say wait till July or August.... then I found boss4x4s.com the site said out of stock but I called them up ether way. The guy I talked to was very helpful and said that they dont have the adjustable 5100's in stock right now but they should have them alot sooner than July. I placed the order with them.

 

I got the whole set for my truck on Amazon for a great price. Just checked and it looks like it's unavailable at the moment.

Maybe you'd have better luck with the individual shocks.

 

I put myself on the waitlist at shocksurplus and I got the Bilstein 6112 Strut (Assembled) + Rear 5100 Shocks about a week later.

 

You could try this;

I got 5100’s for Christmas, and was going to try to do the job myself. However, I had just finished powdercoating a set of TRD Offroad wheels, and I was going to need a tire shop to do that swap. I also needed new tires imminently, and knew I was going to upgrade to at least 33” tires.

Lastly, I was aware that after installing the 5100’s, the truck would need alignment.

In the end I decided to take the truck to a local shop and they did EVERYTHING in about 5 hours. Long story short, a local shop may have access to parts that you can’t find.

There is a down side.

I had to send my 5100’s back because the shop local to me has a policy not to use customer-supplied parts. In the end I paid a significant mark up on the shocks.

I did not shed a tear.

This may be an avenue for you to pursue.
