    Hey Guys,

Going to help my father in law install an auxiliary refueling tank in the bed of his Ram 1500 this weekend. I haven't seen what type of tank he purchased, but I know it's got the Fill-Rite FR1210HA 12 volt 15gpm pump.

From what I see online there is no relay or dash mounted switch that comes with any of the setups. It seems that they basically just use alligator clips on the battery to run the pump.

My question is has anyone installed one of these before and would you recommend adding a relay and a dash mounted switch that's on with the ignition power? The thought would be that you'd need to have the switch turned on and key in the ignition to activate the pump.

Anyone have a diagram of what the wiring would look like for this type of set up or any other ideas better than just alligator clips to the battery.

Surprisingly I couldn't seem to find much related info on the web. I did come across a youtube video with this schematic if anyone can verify this would accomplish what I'm trying to do.

    Thanks in advance.
