Hey guys going to getting me a Tundra here soon hopefully just wanting to see what upgrades y'all would recommend.

Uses of truck will be daily driver, and occasional tow vehicle. I know 2 no brainer decisions are exhaust and programmer, anything else you guys would suggest?

Living in Texas, tint is a must. As Brian said lift & wheels/tires will definitely change the look of the truck & is the most common upgrade. I'm sure everyone else on here will be more than happy to help spend your money on your new Tundra. :D

Congrats on your upcoming purchase. Welcome to the site & post some pics whenever you get a chance.

Csuviper has got quite the list definitely going to read it in detail when I get the chance.

Oh yeah tint is a no brainer. I'm up on the wall about lift and tires, I've seen them in person there awesome!! I'll at least probably put some rims and tires not sure about the lift.

Oh yeah when I get I most definitely will, right now trying to find out what model I want. I know I want a crew cab.

To me this is the perfect Tundra to me doesn't look lifted but has a sweet set of rims and tires, the look that I want to go for

Thats a picture of a crew max cab, just to give you a heads up I went from a tacoma to tundra and did a lot of research to, but I would also recommend some nerf bars or steps if you are shorter guy or have family members, girlfriend or wife who are shorter.

Welcome! That pic you posted looks like it may have a leveling kit or something equivalent... Nice and clean:) Plus, with just a little lift up front, it gives you a lot more tire size options:)

    What is a bhlm?

That's good to know my wife is a little on the shorter side so will definitely get some step bars.

Okay, well if I did a lift at all I wouldn't go above 3" I've always felt its the perfect lift when you have a DD.

    Blacked-out head light mod :)

I agree the 3" is perfect on these trucks

Yeah my wife is roughly about your height but the step bars are definitely a must for my wife. I'm 6'0 so getting in won't be much of an issue.

Hey guys here's a 15 tundra at work I saw this morning I know the angle isn't that great, but I know its a 4x4. Does it just have a rim and tire upgrade or does it appear to be lifted?

Appears to be lifted. Maybe 2 1/2 to 3 inch on the front. If it is still there, go look at the front coil -overs to see if it is a spacer lift or aftermarket coil-overs providing the lift. Maybe leave a polite note on the window. Definitely a nice truck.

I would consider what storage options are out there or maybe already covered on a thread here. I bought an OEM under seat storage box on Craigslist from a guy who upgraded his 2010 DC to a 15 CrewMax which has a lot more room but storage space took a hit. Good for me cause I paid only $40 for a basically new storage box. If you like to have a few items always handy then there are a lot of bed storage options you can do.
The Tundra already has a cold air intake that can be modded for even better air flow (SABM: stock air box mod) along with a quality drop in filter.

That truck definitely has bigger lift than 3/1. I would guess 6 or 7 inches.

By the way, if your wife is around 4' 11" AND rides regularly in your truck, do not lift it 6 inches. Mine is lifted 3 & 1/2 inches (OME 614) and my wife is 5' 6" and some times she complains. I even have the step bars as you could see.

Hey Tugs, what do you think of the ride with that leveling kit? How does it compare to stock? I've been considering a kit like that myself because I like the look, but I just love how this thing rides with the stock suspension. I don't want to mess that up.

Hasn't changed much, just put the 295s on last week and they are substantially taller than my previous tires (285/55/r20). I've had the leveling kit for a few months now and there was no difference in handling or ride comfort. However the handling with the bigger tires is taking some getting used to, feels a bit out of control at times but all in all worth it.

I had the same type question here on this truck. It looks like it may have a leveling kit. I'm thinking 18 inch wheels, what do you guys think on tire size. This is just a picture I found on line. I really like this setup.

For looks? Some are under the impression it adds protection..when in fact, it can hurt the body if in an accident.
