To each their own, but I personally think the Lunar Rock looks like poop. I even went as far as test driving a lunar rock TRD PRO Sequoia to try and convince myself that I could learn to love it as much as I did my Tundra, but I just couldnt stand looking at the color. It was either buy a brand new 2021 lunar rock about 15 miles from me or buy one of state and deal with the headache of a site unseen purchase. Well, we all know what I ended up choosing LOL. If you have no real frame of reference then it really is minimal, but for me, I couldn't unsee the Eastern egg. Funny you mention KING Shocks. Just took delivery of mine. All my parts for the conversion just arrived as well. Showstoppers said delivery for the TE's will be mid May. I don't know if I can wait that long. I might slap some 295's on the stock pro wheel

    Trdwillie14,

Sorry, you're quote got buried in mine so I didn't even know you responded. Yes and no. I've been brainstorming with a couple of people and some other electronic wizards. My local tuner show in Santa Clara 02 Creations said, "They got it", so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do. My buddy Michael Wright does some gnarly stuff and I got full faith in the work his team pumps out. He's got a laundry list of Celebrity athletes under his belt so I feel like I'm in good hands.

Favor im having the kings installed Nd the tech ran into an issue with rear shocks. Is there a way you can snap a picture of the rear shock how it’s mounted on bottom. Instructions show should have one spacer but has 4 and it looks like they dont easily go on. Also it states that there should be a bolt but its not in there wondering if you used the factory bolts to mount?

This is the only photo I have of the rear shock that @dcsleeper408 sent me during the install. Sorry the Sequoia is in the shop getting the front-end conversion done at the moment. IMG_0519.jpg

Guess is as good as mine. I dropped it off about 3 weeks ago, but they're slammed at the moment. TBH the entire conversion is quite simple, but I needed to get it painted anyway and I had no clue where to begin to get the Tundra TRD Pro headlights to work on the Sequoia TRD Pro Platform. The male and female parts mate, but their pinouts are totally different. I didn't want to screw anything up so I just let the pros handle all the tech. I ended up getting the SDHQ hood bulge since I don't think the NSV Lightbar's controls will work inside the sequoia platform.

Also realized I never posted pics after the KING install. At the moment I'm running 2" OME's for my rear coil. I believe I've got one more month to wait before my 2.5" Dobinson rear coils ship out from Australia directly.

    Here's some eye candy

That’s so cool dude yah it also sounds over my head esp with a new truck. Well let me know what you do with your sequoia led lights. That truck picture looks like a lot of overtime lol

Was randomly reading your build the other day as I may be going with a Sequoia over a Tundra due to needing extra seating and was driving around in San Jose today and saw your sequoia sitting at the shop with no front end. Can’t wait to see the final product. Any regrets going with the sequoia? That picture with the parts stuffed in the back of your sequoia makes me want to stay with a truck.

That’s funny. Man I almost forgot that I had the sequoia lol. It’s been so damn long since I dropped it off I’ve been consumed with other projects. Currently finishing up a 63 Lincoln continental vert and i couldn’t pass up another opportunity to build a McFly pickup. (Check out my other threads)

In regards to whether or not I regret getting the sequoia, not at all. But I do regret having to get rid of the Tundra 100%. I was supposed to get rid of my wife’s JEEP but the Sequoia was just too big for her to daily and I’d be an ass to make her give that your when I have like 4 other cars. I guess I’ll look at the 22 Tundra later down the road.

I ended up buying another 85 Xtracab SR5 pickup, just to have the luxury of hauling stuff around if I need. Got lucky cuz The previous owner installed an electronic locker in it so that’s a major plus!

The last one I built was so nice I didn’t want to drive it so I posted it on BaT and sold for a nice payday. I may polish this one up
But won’t be going too crazy with it.

Thanks for the reply, I really think I’ll regret losing the truck bed as we don’t do that many trips that require the extra seats then towing.

That truck is amazing, I’ve always loved that body style but I’ve always wanted another 80’s 4runner. Some day that will happen.

I ALSO somehow went down the rabbit hole while I was waiting for this build to finsh and damn near broke the internet building another Marty Mcfly pickup. Here's some eye candy.

    Well done!
I'm loving the nostalgia from the Mcfly truck. I always wanted that truck (straight axle 84-85) but only had ifs versions (86-88). The SQUNDRA looks amazing too!
