If you paid with PayPal or especially with your credit card, start a charge back dispute. A chargeback or refund will cost him money as a business owner. I’m all for supporting small businesses but this guy can go eff himself.

He was pretty quick to refund me when I told him to cancel my order. I think he’s legitimately just busy, but he sure sucks at communicating and managing expectations.

Sorry to hear about your issues with Pro Form Fab. I finally got my 1.5" on this weekend. When I bought them they were only $49.95 + shipping. Now....$109.95+ shipping. That said, there is a supply chain issue with US sourced steel and is only going to get worse. Pro Form is a small fab shop. Should Pro Form respond to your emails in a quick manner? Of course but, I prefer using the phone and talking to a human and skip the email BS. Especially if whatever I may have ordered is time critical. There used to be snail mail and now snail email. Pro Form's shackles are the real deal at a great price point. Prolly overwhelmed but that is no excuse to not respond to emails

Busy was his excuse a year ago and he is still using it. All signs point to piss poor small business owner.

He ignored my emails 7-8 weeks after ordering. So I started a PayPal dispute and sure enough he immediately cancelled my order.

    a) communication beyond sucks. He either ignores your emails or if he does reply it’s always “it’s going out soon” yeah right. It’s 6 pieces of steel welded together and powder coated. Does it really take 2 months?
    b) if he was busy a year ago and is still “busy” why not hire help to turn and burn orders AND make more money
    c) the people that complained on his Facebook for the same reasons, he was a complete a hole to them.
    d) when I was looking for alternatives, there was a YouTube video of a guy trying out 3 different shackles and ProForm didn’t even fit right so they didn’t test them. https://youtu.be/w4D278lkVWE go to 3:15

so I stand by my previous comment. There’s no excuse for
    e) all of the above.

I would try to call first before I escalated things. No has been screwed yet, just poor communication. Did you call him? You didn't mention your concerns directly to him? Does sound like there is a problem. Not doubting your experience at all. When they fit right....pretty damn good. Hiring during this past Covid year would be trying for many small businesses. We pay quite well at my job and we are having a hell of a time hiring qualified people for months. That pandemic "thing"

I don’t disagree with most of your points. Just adding what I found in my experience. He definitely isn’t managing his business well if he’s this far behind, is still taking orders, and is still giving garbage estimated completion dates. I was always cordial with him in my emails, though, so maybe that helped me out in my case.

Yep, He shouldn't be taking on any new orders until he fulfills his current ones and definitely needs not only help but needs someone who is business savvy!

I sent him an email last night asking to cancel my order. I received a response first thing this morning acknowledging the cancel. In my opinion, he should have indicated on his website that these items are back-ordered and may take 1-2 months to ship. I think it's safe to say that there's a reasonable expectation that a product is in stock unless otherwise stated. And most companies ship within a few days of ordering. We're all spoiled because no matter where we're ordering from, we will usually receive the product in about 5 business days. So that's where the bar currently rests. And although I didn't mention it in my initial post, way back in the beginning, I did call and left a message. They didn't get back to me.

I ordered my shackles from ToyTec this morning. It only took a few hours to process my order. They've already been shipped and will arrive in 3 days! I am aware that this is the difference between a company having the product in stock versus a company that is slammed with orders. Nonetheless, after waiting 5 weeks with virtually no communication, you can imagine my joy knowing that my shackles will be here in 3 days. I won't order from ProFormFab in the future. It's not to punish them for being slammed with orders ... instead, it's because of their very poor customer service. We consumers have so many options these days. I want to reward the companies that appreciate my business.

Moral of the story is if you set expectations you may lose some business with the impatient. If you don't communicate at all, you lose all the business. I'm still pissed at the idiots in my Toyota dealership who did this type of thing with my truck.

I had that same set on my 07 Tundra, from Wheeler's Off Road, for over five years with zero issues. The Gorilla's are quite popular here...............

I had a set of Gorilla wheel locks on my Tacoma for 10 years with no issues. These lug nuts seem to be softer metal. It's not just one in the set that is doing it, it is all of them.

I will never again buy anything from Lightwerkz.

Ordered a Diode Dynamics light bar kit from them in December and was told only a 1-2 week delay initially. I contact them after 4 weeks with no update and they say call back after 2-4 weeks. I inquire after another5 weeks and get told the same thing. I inquire again after another 4 weeks and no update. Each time, I get no apology and I always have to be the one to inquire for an update. No heads up about any further delays, nothing. I give up with Lightwerkz and instead started checking in with Diode Dynamics directly every couple weeks or so. Finally got my light bar kit last week. I know of 2 other vendors, 1 on this forum, who had the lightbars before Lightwerkz. Lesson learned, I will never buy from Lightwerkz again. If you had a good experience then im happy for you.

I have a set of Gorilla ET lug nuts from Amazon too, haven't rotated tires on them yet.

Hopefully no issues. As you said, they are quite well regarded from what I researched.

My experience with lightwerks was decent. The vendor didn't join this forum or I wasn't aware when I ordered my DD fog lights but next time I need something from DD, I would order from him because I like to support a fellow member and he has been contributing a lot of good info.

Seem like this is a bad product thread, but here is a bad vendor. My Dobinson springs are great and once I get past the major cluster the install has become I'll be thrilled with them. If it's not ok, please delete.

4/16 I ordered Dobinsons rear springs for my Sequoia. A few days later I got an email they were backordered shipping 6/30. Monday, 6/28 I emailed asking if the date was still good.

    NOTHING.

Tuesday I called sat on hold for 25 minutes before I gave up & sent another email, nada, Wednesday another 25 minute hold, Thursday a message through their webform NOTHING, today I called and was prompted to leave a message after being "#1 in line" for 3+ minutes within an hour three hours ago.

I reached out to Dobbinsons & they sent me tracking.

I was thinking about getting the Vivid forged rims, forget it, I'll never spend another cent with them.

Stay away from Vivid Racing. Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Seriously, stay away. I am working on canceling my order, had to call twice within the last 5 days, each time they have told me it's canceled but the confirmation email I was promised saying the order was CX and the refund I have not received yet...

So I now wait another day or two and see if I get it. If not I'll call again and wait for 30+ min to speak to someone. Next time though I threaten BBB and speak to a manager.

I had the same experience, never received the shackles and about the same time frame. Did receive full refund though

I'm in management and we always says just because someone is good at their job doesn't mean they will be a great manager. Same goes for busineses. He could make a great product or be a great fabricator but if he doesn't have the business management skills to make it work it won't matter.

I threw them away about two weeks ago. I was at a drive thru and when I rolled the window up the drivers side one flew off and nearly hit the fast food person

3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
Weathertech hood protector. Nice product and fit well. But the double sided tape they sent it with was crap. Peeled off and snapped in half on the highway, no idea where it flew off to. Looking into other options, but may end up with another one, after I try and convince them they need to send me a free replacement. Would use 3M heavy duty doublestick if I do.

As @Squatting Pigeon knows, I threw mine out too. I could re-use them with new 3M tape but didn't want to deal with the hassle of it. I liked them when I had them, but long term, I wouldn't suggest them either.

Caliraised LED sucks... Ordered a 30" light bar and when I got it something inside was rattling around. They sent another, and something inside that one was loose as well. Got the third replacement today, and guess what... exactly the same. So I emailed them for the millionth time and the owner of the company actually emailed me back and said it's perfectly fine, that they should never have sent another bar in the first place, and that his "engineer" said it's not an issue that internal parts of the light bar are loose. I told him that I didn't think a $260 light bar should have pieces flopping around inside and he said I was welcome to return it, if I paid for shipping and a 15% restocking fee. So now my choices are keep the POS or lose $60 returning it.

I was not impressed with the pods they sent me with the ditch light bracket kit I bought. They're seriously just rebranded Chinese shitbox lights. The pods weren't that expensive, and at least the brackets were good quality. But I agree, their lights are crap for the price.
